Ordering this new MK amp without knowing a goddamn thing about it, not even the lineage of it, seems a touch on the insane side to me.
I guess it can be returned no problem if they no likey ?

Agreed, but I know there are some things I'd jump in line for sight unseen.
But for the sake of what little respect I have for myself, I won't post them online...or even say them out loud for that matter.

@TheGreatGreen Nice one!

I'm having a hard time figuring out why it looks like there are only two channel LEDs. I see a single EQ block on the right side.

Yeah those fuckers. I'm sure they realized including 2 EQ's would cannibalize JP2C sales. Let's just hope for variable input gain.

I get it. The first time I preordered something without knowing the specs (the Adam Jones Les Paul) I thought it was wild, too.

What I didn't know -- and perhaps you don't know -- is that the demand for these products is so high at release that most of them get sold out before they ever hit the open market. I remember asking my Sweetwater rep about this at one point and he said (paraphrasing): "We have about 1,000 customers that are our HV (high value) customers. These are guys/girls that just give us their credit card with a massive limit, name their favorite artists and/or gear, and just tell us 'If anything ___insert artist or manufacturer___ comes out, just charge my card and send it to me.' So that's who you're competing against to get gear at launch and that's why most of the new signature gear or high-interest new gear gets sold out before release."

Look at this Mark VII with Sweetwater. They're only getting four and two people in this thread alone have bought two of them. My guess is that with today's pictures, the other two are already gone. So if you want one of these at release, you have to order it sight unseen. I get that's crazy, but that's how it works. It's part of paying the cost to be an early adopter.

Now, I can absolutely understand how you might say, "I'm not an early adopter; I don't need one at release; I'll wait to see the features and check out the reviews." And that's fine, you can wait. But that's how you end up in a situation where you're waiting 1-2 years for a guitar or amp that you have on order. This is also why "scalpers/gougers" can do what they do: because they've bought the gear before release, then the gear is sold out, then people see the videos of that gear and want it, then they have to pay over-new prices to avoid the wait.

It's a weird system and cycle for sure. Just trying to explain.

It would be to bad if they only had 1 graphic EQ, having 2 on the JP2C is awesome for when using shred mode on channel 2 and not on channel 3. Makes the amp a lot more versatile when dialing in different sounds on each channel.

Also I don't think the mexico made transformers as high quality as the USA made ones of old.

Maybe the Mark VII has flying faders on the graphic EQ so you can save the settings per channel.

For those that pre-ordered, are we allowed to ask what the price is?

I’m sure a ton of work went into creating this so I hate to be critical but could it not have been made to look unique/fresh? Indistinguishable from the V really

This thing is literally just Mark V 2.0, like it literally is the same format same design... interchanged Mk 1 mode with Mk VII on ch 2, and interchange channel 3 Extreme mode with Mk IIB mode.
I got to be missing something here because it is looking pretty fkn lame if I am correct... Mark V fans rejoice, the Mark V 2.0 or V + II for Mark VII is here... I'm frankly not impressed at all thus far and highly doubt it sounds much better than the Mark v.
