Rush with Annika Niles on drums opening the 2026 Juno Awards. Spoiler: She fits right in! I know John and Neil are smiling...

I’m firmly in the “ Nothing after Moving Pictures” camp. My favorite album is Caress of Steel.

I love Caress, which is ironically the least popular album - probably why I like since I'm contrarian! I do like a lot of post MP material too, especially the 90s albums. However, they don't set in the same place for me as the 70's material.

I have always appreciated that they kept evolving and didn't try to make Hemispheres II or Moving Pictures II. I have a ton of respect for them always moving forward, exploring new ideas.

Caress of Steel has always been towards the top for me too!

I'm a big old Rush fan and I don't really want to comment on this video... :(

Call me crazy, but there's a push and a swing to the groove that I've never heard from Rush before.
I actually kinda' like this.
That chick on the drums is killin' it!
Not withstanding Geddy's vox, this is pretty fukkin' cool, and waaayyy better than I thought it would be.

Absolutely. Every drummer has a different feel and I really like how Rush sounds with Anika. Totally badass groove. Pocket for days!

I'm surprised at how great they sounded because when Neil passed, Al spoke about his hand problems quite a few times. Whatever he's doing, it's working. Al played his ass off.

Amen to that, brother. I was so pissed off when I heard the entire "Signals" album on the radio right after it was released. I thought "WTF is THIS shit?!"

I do love "Subdivisions", though. Great song.

But there's a good side: I saved a few bucks by not buying "Signals".

I was mostly impressed that Geddy is pulling it off reasonably. Annika will be great in her roll, though given that this is a song off the first album, it's not really the Peart challenge yet!

I think she'll do justice to Neil's playing. I loved her drumming with Jeff Beck.

After hearing and seeing the new Rush lineup live for the first time, I'm really looking forward to what they're gonna bring to the new tour.

Dawn of time - 2024 "We'll never, ever, ever, ever collectively play together as Rush without all 3 of us"
2025 - 2026 "We're reuniting as Rush, to honor Neil"
2027 "Neil who"?

Moving Pictures was the first Rush album I heard, and still my favorite. I'm a big fan of that sound and even the ultra lo-fi videos they shot at Le Studio, great nostalgia! The keyboard drenched albums that followed didn't catch me at first, but I liked them more over time, simply because they are so bold and different. I also like Roll The Bones quite a bit, but I'm OUT after that.......

Hah, Signals is my absolute favorite! :ROFLMAO:

My top three are Signals, Moving Pictures and Grace Under Pressure. Of course I love 2112 and Permanent Waves, Hemispheres, hell I love everything Rush has ever done.

YEAH, BUT TO BE FAIR, HE'S OLD. IN THE 80'S, I USED TO BE ABLE TO SING DEEP PURPLE'S "CHILD IN TIME" AND I NAILED IT CONSISTENTLY.
NO WAY I COULD DO THAT NOW.

OH, I HAD CAPS LOCK ON. DERP.

I'M NOT SHOUTING AT YOU, BRO. I'M JUST TOO FUCKIN' LAZY TO RE-TYPE IT ALL. LOL
Why so mad bruh? Chill…😂

I went back through the entire catalog after Neil passed. I still can't get into Signals. It's the mix as much as anything. I actually like GUP quite a lot - it was far better than I remembered - but Signals still alludes me.

I changed my mind once, but that was back in '64.

I like a bit from every part of the Rush catalog. I think the first album is my favorite.

Everyone nailed it on the crappy Ged vocals. Yes it is Him trying to sing for the Win ,but pick a different song. This era he was 'rat in the dryer' style vocals, why re do that? Also it is pre Niel so she is playing well but miles over Rusty's pay grade (RIP)

I will say Alex's tone is killer, and I hate to so it, well sort of but I'm fairly certain he is using a modeler with amps on stage
