FFS, cut GL some slack. He’s 72, they’re still tuning in standard, and he’s still bringing it.
Agreed. The amount of armchair quarterbacking from the folded arm crowd is ridiculous. A major part of the band and their friend died. They want to carry on, and they are. Good for them! Some folks really are missing the joy of the music.

He could sound a hell of a lot worse at 72 years old.

I see some critique of Ged's performance here and there. I must say, I was actually surprised how bad he did NOT sound. I know this could be construed as a low bar, but just listen to how bad he sounded on the last few Rush tours, he was REALLY struggling and even on songs not all that challenging. The Juno performance and Taylor Hawkins tributes sounded much much better.

Crazy that he cannot get close to what he wants in the Fractal but I can attest that you always feel close but still not there in the Fractal amp tones.
My buddy has a Tone x box that I plan to borrow and try in the 4cm with my Fm3
after poking around on an new to me axe fx II (admittedly 12 yr old tech) for a week or so, i found and tweaked a handful of useable amp models and fx.
then i plugged my tonex pedal for amp sounds into the fractal for fx only and it was pretty amazing how much nicer everything felt and sounded. recommended!
