He said clearly what he wants numerous times and would have gotten it spring of 2022 if not for UK/US telling Zelensky to scrap the peace deal and promising military backing. Do you think Ukraine would’ve gone to war if not for Western support? Russia doesn’t want NATO on its borders just like the US would not accept Mexico forming a military alliance with China. It’s that simple. There’s no conquest of Eastern Europe etc. Although at this point he’s probably going to take most of Ukraine which he wouldn’t have if they had just taken the deal in 2022.What does Putin really want in the end? Winter is coming.
So, what is the solution to the issue? He said clearly what he wants numerous times and would have gotten it spring of 2022 if not for UK/US telling Zelensky to scrap the peace deal and promising military backing. I truly hope that God does bless you.Join ROCOR.
And you as well my friend!I truly hope that God does bless you.
How is that different, other than in degree perhaps? Do you know how many civilians died in Iraq?! Or trillions wasted in Afghanistan? The US has between 800-1000 military bases around the world. Any country exercising sovereignty and seeking growth is an enemy. The US is an empire, the world hegemon, or at least used to be. I think what we’re seeing now is the emergence of the multipolar world order. The US doesn’t like it.The US was never an autocratic power bent on directly subsuming other countries to become part of its empire. You can't say that about Iraq or Afghanistan either. The aim was not to make them part of the USA. The aim was to bring them to heel.
So you think Putin should have a free hand if a country isn't on equal terms militarily. This is why NATO exists basically although obviously Ukraine isn't a member - however still he shouldn't have a free hand.Do you think Ukraine would’ve gone to war if not for Western support?
I don’t think he would have invaded if not for the US backed coup in 2014 and the incessant drive to get Ukraine into NATO. So yeah, I’m not saying it’s right, but he’s doing exactly what the US would do if Mexico decided to team up with China. So you think Putin should have a free hand if a country isn't on equal terms militarily.
It's different because those countries were becoming a threat and were governed by mad Islamic dictatorships and autocrats that were unpredictable and dangerous. You already said Ukraine wasn't on the same terms as Russia so therefore it's hard to argue it was a threat. So we’re told. It's different because those countries were becoming a threat and were governed by mad dictatorships that were unpredictable and dangerous.
I know all about the sordid history of US foreign policy mate. Motives are never pure. Still my comment stands.
I don't see why people think Russia has any right to be overlords of Eastern Europe. Now or after WW2 either. Equating the US to Russia is false. The US was never an autocratic power bent on directly subsuming other countries to become part of its empire. You can't say that about Iraq or Afghanistan either. The aim was not to make them part of the USA. The aim was to bring them to heel.
I dunno, look at Iraq now verses then. Look at Libya now vs then. You think these countries are better off? Why was Ghaddafi killed? Do you know?I know all about the sordid history of US foreign policy mate. Motives are never pure. Still my comment stands.
Putin told the west, especially the US, what he wanted before the conflict began. Months before the conflict began, Russia outlined its' goals and attempted to negotiate with the West and was ignored or rejected outright. No attempt was made by any NATO country to negotiate with Russia until after the conflict went hot; and then it was ended by Boris Johnson's visit to Kiev. What does Putin really want in the end? Winter is coming.
A few more new oblasts reunited with Russia to create a buffer zone between whatever is left of Ukraine and NATO.So, what is the solution to the issue?
An honest question: can you tell me what Putin wanted?Putin told the west, especially the US, what he wanted before the conflict began. Months before the conflict began, Russia outlined its' goals and attempted to negotiate with the West and was ignored or rejected outright. No attempt was made by any NATO country to negotiate with Russia until after the conflict went hot; and then it was ended by Boris Johnson's visit to Kiev.
Gaddafi was killed for two reasons: 1) he was trying to unify Africa economically and creating a pan-African currency based on gold, African Dinar; it would have challenged the US Dollar and Euro; 2) Gaddafi wanted more of the profits of African assets to be used by the African countries to build their infrastructure, like he did in Libya; western countries and companies were paying little to these countries.I dunno, look at Iraq now verses then. Look at Libya now vs then. You think these countries are better off? Why was Ghaddafi killed? Do you know?
She'll word salad him until his brain implodes. No worries.
Kamala will put him in his place.
What do you think he wants? Do you think he’s playing “5d” chess or something? An honest question: can you tell me what Putin wanted?
