MOSCOW, Sept 25 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin warned the West on Wednesday that Russia could use nuclear weapons if it was struck with conventional missiles, and that Moscow would consider any assault on it supported by a nuclear power to be a joint attack.

Is there room for an honest discord, perhaps one that both parties could benefit from? An act of good faith goes a long way.

I don't see why people think Russia has any right to be overlords of Eastern Europe. Now or after WW2 either. Equating the US to Russia is false. The US was never an autocratic power bent on directly subsuming other countries to become part of its empire. You can't say that about Iraq or Afghanistan either. The aim was not to make them part of the USA. The aim was to bring them to heel.
