Hi all,

Is it safe to wear a Rolex in Florida? Will be seeing Key West, Miami Beach, Orlando etc?

Thats like saying "is it safe for blacks to eat fried chicken."
Fl pawn shops are full of them.

Miami? I wouldn't put it on until I got to the beach, and then if it's windy you get it fulla sand. Miami beach is big time and all but have you ever seen the other part? That's one of the most impressively slimy places I've ever spent the night. Orlando is a waste of life I only went there for the same reasons you probably are i.e Disney-Universal but they was paying gigs so I never saw much of the rest of the city and don't want to. Brush up on your spanish if you set foot off the tourist sites. You should be good to go in the Keys.

Lemme know who you get to party with down there. I've gotten to party with millionaires, awol military guys, alcoholics that live under rocks, guys running from the law, many general cretins and even a guy that was probably a serial killer. It's the most unpredictable state I ever lived in and truthfully I would recommend the Keys and the Gulf Beaches over Orlando and Miami if you just wanted to chill with your watch and not hafta worry. If you or your guides don't know the terrain inside any major city there I'd def forgo the watch. Safe travels.

Just Google "Florida Man"
Can confirm this real phenomena.

He owns a shirt but only puts it on when he rides his three speed bike with the basket on the front down to the gas station between 8 and 10 to get a 12 pack of natural light ice and a pack of GPC's. That's called Florida Man Breakfast.

Well, you'll be alright in Key West. Can't say about MIami though.

My wife bought me a Submariner for my 55th Birthday. Before then, I had one of those heavy, authentic 'sweep movement' knockoffs. I still wear the knockoff whenever I leave town for a business trip. Anyone points a gun in my face gets a free $200 Faulex Submariner. And my Real McCoy is safe at home!!!

I used to have some Trolex's that I bought in Taiwan when I worked a contract job there in the 89-90. I had a submariner.......I eventually stopped wearing them as I thought it wasn't worth getting my hand chopped off for a fake watch...............:p:LOL:

geez, everything seems to have a clock in it these days. if you need more than the time, there are apps for that.

it's your money.
