Forbidden was really good but the sound engineer was clipping the system pretty bad. Sounded like complete shit when the guitarists would palm mute. She had it under control for the first few tunes but I guess as her ears got beaten up by the loud mix, she started pumping up the guitar channels. The mix measured 105db about 30 feet from the stage.

Evile was fucking killer. I have both of their albums and have been into them for a while but this was my first time seeing them live. They were super tight and the sound was pretty good for them. They stood out from all the bands on the bill. They are definitely a thrash band but they add some more elements into it that keep it from being generic re-thrash. Recommend seeing them if you get the chance.

Forbidden was killer in Toronto last week. Stood 2 ft. from Steve Smyth, what an amazing player. Turn out was lousy but I had a great time.

New album is killer. Destroys the latest Exodus, Testament, Death Angel, Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth releases IMO.

No doubt. Steve Smyth is a great player. He was killing it last night. A few years ago when he was in Nevermore, my old band opened up for them and I did an interview with him and Jeff for a local metal TV show. They were both super cool. Also, another band I was in opened for Testament when Steve was in the band. He was badass doing all the Skolnick stuff. I have been a fan of his for a long time. Great player.

I saw the tour a few weeks ago with Overkill headlining. Evile was really good, I liked them alot! Forbidden was great! Overkill didn't disappoint either, but then again they never have (IMO).
