Seriously though, being alerted to that thread caused me to go have a look around on the HCAF and I have to tell you, there is some really funny stuff on there. I'm not talking about the Cameron thread, but some of the other stuff. Some very funny stuff. We could certainly use a little more humor and energy here, IMHO.

That is the only reason I really frequent the place. There is a great sense of comradery. People go to HCAF not just to talk about amps/guitars/fx/etc, but to shoot the shit and fuck around.

I think Rig Talk used to have a great sense of that too. I just personally don't feel it as much anymore.
I know there are new people coming in all the time and maybe they are all feeling a sense of camraderie with each other?

This thread made me want another production CCV...dig the midi, and the loop..

They definitely don't suck....at least for my purposes :D

Agreed. I'm more into SLO tones, but some of the CCV and other Cameron clips definitely sound great. 8)

BTW, if you judge people based on how they treat others, why not stop acting above others who may not have your income?
facepalm.gif

The fact that Brad may actually succeed with Cameron amps bothers some people. The people that are bothered by stuff like this are mostly people that are not able to succeed themselves (Remember, up to this point Mark Cameron is the only person that screwed over people and did not deliver as promised.). People that are unsuccessful in life often have low income and are envious of those with more income than they have. It happens everywhere and all I did was point it out here.

Count me as one of those who has a CCV and doesn't care for 80's cock rock. I love metal, punk and hardcore and that's what I play with my CCV. It sounds amazing for those things.

The CCV easily does modern stuff. I love turning the gain down and boosting the amp and it makes it even more vicious. I think Nick (dawnofdream87x) recorded his new album with the CCV and they do modern type stuff.

It's nice to know that this forum can still muster a little bit of energy and shake our fists at those damn hooligans. If I didn't need to take a nap I would go right down there and give them a stern talking to.

And all this talk about us being 80's guys is just ridiculous. They don't know me. Where would they get the idea that I am some 80's guy?

This was funny. You guys need to lighten up a bit like Chubtone. I rarely come here because it's pretty boring and quite stale. I'm an old 80's guy, but not so old that I have yell at kids about being on my lawn.

Like I posted in the HCAF thread, the Cameron name has too much stigma attached to it. The only way to clear it is right the past wrongs. Sorry, but outside of rigtalk there isn't much interest in Cameron amps. Not even the 80's guys at TGP mention them much. I think Brad's a good guy, but look at Mark Cameron's history. Anybody that has collaborated with him on any business transaction has ended up getting burned. You can't say no one saw it coming when he flaked out on Brad again.

Internet is serious bizzness.

It's a sad situation for all involved. Could have been much better for all involved including Mark. He has so many designs and circuits that could have gone into production. Some way cool lower gain circuits as well. Sucks al lthe way around. It is a two sided street also,.

I'm on both forums, but I fail to see how RT is stale. Maybe a bit different, but I don't see the attitude that people seem to say is here. I've heard that the gear page is really nuts, but I only go there for classifieds.

I still post here is because there's still a group of people that hang out here that I've known for a while but it's really gotten slow here, others have left and some just post every once in a while. I miss the forum jams we used to have but they don't get much interest anymore and nobody here talks about playing that much anymore, just about which 4 thousand dollar amp they want.

Yeah, work definitely gets in the way of some serious goofing off.

Would you mind summarizing all of this for me? It's too much for my mind to digest.
