I recently played a Schecter and I have to say, I was impressed at the playability and quality for the price. I think it was a Merrow? model Schecter. Anyway, it's good to see some lower priced guitars being really good quality. I've certainly seen some high priced guitars that were turds!

I'm telling you. You don't have to spend a fortune anymore. I recently picked up a Caparison C2. Solid Mahogany.I wanted a guitar for heavier styles. I was fully expecting to send it back. The quality is through the roof. Great wood, great fret work, excellent balance. Very resonant through the neck. I have played two other 2500K+Caps and this one is every bit as good. Maybe better. So I don't have the cool inlays at 1050

Schecter is killing the game for mid level electrics. Their fretwork, electronics, and hardware are top notch. I've been playing an Ultra II for 5 years and its continually a beast that beats out more expensive instruments.

LTD kills it as well. I've had an EC1000 for over a decade. The wife bought herself an EC401. Being the kind of guy I am, I took it to some gigs. That guitar is solid! It may not have all the abalaminate as the 1000, but it plays and sounds just as nice. I'd recommend them any time. I prefer the feel of the LTD to the Schecter, but they make great guitars as well.

I just sold one. But not because it wasn't great. It was. I just ordered a Kiesel V7 and didn't need two 7's. They are amazing guitars.

Yes, I want a V7 also ! However this Schecter played so sweet and sounded great. It's cheaper also

I just picked up a Banshee that you would have thought I paid 3x as much for. Totally amazing guitar.

I have had a Hellraiser C7 for years. It is a solid guitar as well.

I used to dislike Schecter until I played the KM7. Great axe!

They've corrected a lot of their QC issues in the last few years. Their newer guitars are great!

Absolutely agreed on the Banshee model…I personally can not get enough of them - AMAZING value for the money. I use Banshees for my 7 and 8 strings guitars, and am perfectly happy playing them along side my 6 string PRS guitars.

I have a Hellraiser FR-S. I bought it solely because I wanted to get to know a guitar with a Sustainer or Sustainiac before potentially adding units to guitars I already own.

I am blown away by the Hellraiser's build quality and playability. It stands up very well to my other guitars costing significantly more. I don't dig the EMG 81 and I'm swapping that out, but that's as a matter of personal preference that would apply to any guitar with EMGs. This guitar has incredible upper register access, a really nice neck (perhaps my favorite among all of my guitars), and just plays so well. I can't wait to get her back and hear her with the Rebel Yell bridge pu.

$1000 bucks or there abouts for one of these. I've seen some up close pics. Stellar fit and finish

Aren't LTD and Schecter made in the same factory and share the same owner?

Either way, both brands are the kings of the budget market. Excellent value

Same factory, yes. Same owner, I don't know. They make guitars for a few companies. I saw an interview with Rob Chapman for his guitars, and you could see all the different brands being worked on there.

The factory is World Musical Instruments LTD. World instruments is a 3rd party contractor to LTD, Schecter, PRS, Chapman, Spector, and many others. Probably almost everybody.

ESP (and its subsidiaries) and Schecter are both wholly owned by Histake Shibuya. The 2 companies are run completely independent from each other. Shibuya also owns Musician's Institute and its subsidiaries, as well as several other corporations, including a chain of cosmetology schools in Japan.

Wow killer finish  Are the fine tuners low or do they get in the way? I've always been an Ibanez prestige player. I'm spoiled

She's a beaut!

One time I bought a guitar online. It came fxckd up. Sent it back for another or a different one. They then sent me 6 guitars that all happened to have something wrong (think it was ups, and the company's packing Job). Then I found a Schecter blackjack for sale for like 400-somethjng and jumped on it and for the last one. Didn't send it back. Def a very solid guitar and def a good bang for the buck. If I could go back Id probably get a banshee 6 with passives. The non sls schecters do have a slightly thicker neck, I remember feeling like it was way more quality opposed to the other guitars I had tried. The others had thinner necks and just felt cheap. The Schecter felt good. But now I want the thin neck, trem, shred guitar again lol. Sucks having just one electric! Not right!

And those banshee elites look pretty sick. Anyone try SCHECTER Pickups?
