Good Morning Helmut,
I believe that as with the Einstein, when you look at your Schmidt from the back of it, the V-1 preamp tube is the one on the left side closest to the input jack. You may have to remove one or both of the power tubes first to get to it. There are only two preamp tubes that control the channel tones, V-1 and V-2.
