Scored me a great Gibson SG for a great price

I went to just one pawnshop today and ran into this pretty rare bird.

I wasn’t looking for an SG, but I remember VonBonfire saying in my thread the he once owned 2002 Gibson Flying V with Crescent Moons, and got rid of it.

He said he wished he hadn’t cause they’re worth a lot of money now .

I remembered that and looked up the value on my phone and realized they had it priced WAY to low.

I took to the front and asked them to make a deal I couldn’t turn down, and they took off an extra $225.

I told them I’d pay that price out of the door if they’d waive the tax, and they did.

These originally came with soft cases, but this one had a hard case .

2002 Gibson SG Special w/ Crescent Moons and Ebony board in original condition.

Gibson SG Faded Special .

The Crescent Moons only available in 2002 on these faded models is what makes it rare.

Nice. I have a ‘76 SG Special with mini hums. Love it.

Grats on the score, back in '09 I was home on my pre deployment leave, and dropped in a GC that was around my aunts house.. they had a faded V on the counter with a hand written $350 tag on it, I picked it up and since I got there pretty much right after they opened, I had a few of the employees following me around waiting for me to put it down, apparently they took it in on trade the previous night at closing and just stuck a tag on it.. well needless to say, I took it home with me.

Here she is today, fuck... has it been almost 20 years...
