Dear rigtalkers,

I just got lucky and gotten two scumback M75 speakers... and i am intending to replace my eminence p50e speakers in my VHT FB cab...

For the experience guys here who did speaker replacement before just need to seek you guys kind advise if the scumback speakers can fit in the VHT fatbottom speaker frame and mounting screws slot....?

I also been eyeing on an avatar fanes M65 and have the same question and because its Fanes i heard the F70G cant fit in the VHT FB speaker frame....

Any VHT Fattbottom user whom has the experience would wanna chime in ? Thx :)

Is this a front loaded cab? If it it is then you need to measure the diameter of the speaker hole cutout to see if one of my speakers will work. I just put up some B stock and demo speakers for sale in the classifieds as well starting at $30 off and more. Go check and see if you need any of them. If you just need help with the dimensions only, no problem, just email me at: sales@scumbackspeakers.com

Wow... thanks for ya fast response and support here.... mine is a front loaded cab... i just thought if any VHT fatbottom cab user whom they have experience on replacing their p50e with ya scumback speakers or the Avatar Fanes M65 may wanna advise ....

Cause i have the scumback speakers with me now i probably need to take a dive into the rabbit hole to see if it works ... :)

Celestion speakers fit in Fatbottom cab without any issues so I assume Scumbacks will fit too. Put them on the top and switch bottom ones with heavier magnet model like SC H75 or Cel. Redback or V30.

Thanks a million for helping !!

I have not put scumbacks in a FB cab (though I have put them in several others)
But I did swap many speakers in and out of my vht cab and never had an issue with sizing

Enjoy those m75s!

Hi @Aynirar27 just wanna get specific on the Fatbottom cab... do you apply some sort of anti adhesive liquid on the rim between where the speakers sits? The gasket where it seals between the speakers rim and the frame geys sticky, and i found the thin flim of gasket where Fryette left off was also sticky so much that its hard to pop out these speakers from the back being a front loaded cab....

I wonder whats ya trick for getting speakers being swap out easier...? Or did you end up same fate as what i do ?

I tried fanes in my fatbottom and they did not fit all the way in unfortunately

Likewise. I had to pull out my dremel to bevel the cutout edges to allow the speaker to seat properly.

@apophis the fanes of yours are the F70G? Or Avatar Fanes M65?

The Avatar M65 has different dimension to the M65 i think.... ya really need to seat it well and fit into the mounting frame think as ya play speakers will vibrate if not well seated it will probably damage ya cab wall in the long run?

It was the Fane F70 speaker

Yeah i got two feedback stating the F70G is not a direct fit for p50es on the front frame of FB cab...

But if not wrong the Avatar Fanes M65 can fit well as have checked with Dave from Avatar as these speakers can direct fit for eminence and celestion speakers....

I heard the AFM65 is good and has many good reviews but i wonder how it matches up to the Scumback M75 or shall i just getta H75 from Scumback.... i just want something with a notch more creamier and darker to pair with the SB M75
