SD-1 Clipping Diodes

I actually stumbled onto the jump d6 mod by 1st putting a germanium in there from a keeley kit. i really liked that but I knew the germanium would be having less effect than the stock diodes. that gave me the idea to just jumper it

I would have to look at the schematic to be sure ..... but I think you turned the asymmetrical clipping into symmetrical clipping by doing that ..

yeah, thats exactly what it is. i was shocked how that revoiced the pedal. ive got some quasi eric johnson tones into my plexi, but a bit more agressive than his, but similar frequencies

Will the diodes matter if you run the Drive all the way down and Level all the way up?

I would have to check with my scope to be 100% sure ..... but most likely not .
