last last time :D ....Bogner 20th Anniv Ecstasy (6L6's) or Diezel Hagen????

won't ask again..............

Lots of back and forth here... not saying you're not serious in your search... but i have spent(as well as others) time and info to try and help you out for what's it worth. One statement you say its the Rhodes...than Diezel..than Bogner.

The Bogner..or any bogner.. will not give you your so called "max crunch" factor. Bogners have a very dark and warm mid voicing... really nice, good gain structure...not overly aggressive or in your face. Woody, tight and organic... record and track really well but can sometime lose that 'cut' that you need on stage.. Any good soundman can remedy that. Great amp... soft, warm, and chewy come to mind.

Rhodes.. I don't have any experience with 1st hand but can say that Kyle is a great guy and great builder. Seems like it's the best of the Mesa world amplified to incorporate a bit of the british openish and bite... all midi, well designed, etc.

As far as Diezel goes... Peter and his amps speak for themselves. ...Ask bwintegra, inca roads, steve k... etc... I, as well as them, have played and owned all, if not most... they can give you there opinion. If you're serious in your search... the right amp will find you.

I am in Cory's camp on this. The Diezel line is nothing short of amazing. I bought mine on a leap of faith, never plugged into one, never saw one. I have to say based off of what you are looking for, the Dmoll would fit the bill. Good luck with your decision.

Ok. Diezel it!

Now which one?

D - MOLL
HAGEN
HEBERT
VH-4

There are a few on sale on the foum I am interested in right now....

My favorite metal amps I've played have been modded Rectos, 5150s, Diezel VH4 and some of the Engls.

But ever since I started listening to Henric Hermansson's clips on RT and Youtube I can't get the tone out of my head. I think he voices amps in a very unique way and they are extremely tight and have tons of usable gain but somehow are not overly stiff or sterile. I'd love to try one.

Man, loving the modded mashall....but thinking im gonna give diezel a try....just not sure which one...d-moll, herbert, hagen, vh-4......? Need to decide but no way to play them all.

All of Ola England's clips sound awesome, but he does a comparison with like 8 of the high gain monsters. Out of the amps demo'd, The D-moll came out on top IMO. And, surprisingly the Marshall JS JVM410 came in a close 2nd. Again IMO.

I have to tell you, I think the Uberschall rev blue with EL34s is just awesome. I have been drooling over it ever since I got my Bogner cab and new pickups. I have owned the amp over a year and just recently started appreciating how great it sounds. Watching live clips of my band and I was floored how good it sounded. Nice mid range that cuts and leads (due to the enormous amount of low end) sound HUGE.

You should really give "Spam" Henning's Cherry Bomb a try...he has a killer return policy if it doesn't suit you. You want unique? Hard to beat it IMO and he has them in stock and ready to ship...you don't have to finance the build. A reputable dude with a solid business model.
