Semihollow HSH - HHH?

Hi,
I own a Gretsch 5120 with Tv jones, I love it. But it would need the chamber to be filled, or the F holes to be covered, or the feedback will kill me. Sometimes it turns into a mad wolf in a fullmoon night, when in front of the sound source. And I do not love its neck, too fat.

I would like to mantain the richness of a semihollow, avoiding these problems. So I am searching for a 335-like guitar, which has a HSH of HHH configuration. If I had the money I would buy a 335 Alvin Lee and put a Tv Jones Magnatron in the neck position (but still dunno if Tv Jones can be splitted).

I have a thinline telecaster, and I usually do not find its chambers to change dramatically the tone as a true semihollow does. Otherwise I'd buy somethng like this http://www.robinguitars.com/texas_rawhide.html in the thinline version. Maybe a chambered LP-like would feel better?

So, what do you say? Do you know cheaper alternatives to the pricey 335 hsh? A nice semihollow guitar with HHH or HSH conf?

Yamaha has the Troy VanLeuween model that's 335 style with 3 p-90s. It's a pretty dang cool guitar, well made, and not too spendy either. I realize that's not a h/s/h but pretty close. You could trade out the p90 for a p100 if you really needed a hum in the bridge or neck. Personally I love neck p90s.

Thank you for the tip,
unfortunately p90s are not the exact thing which I am after :no:

It depends on the guitar: the more if fits all my needs, the more I can spend. I have a Gretsch and a tele: if I find the right guitar, I can sell em, and the price I can spend goes up. Better to rest between 1000-1200 for a good used, up to a maximum of 1800.

Update: I'm evaluating a Tokai Es-120, on which I could put it a third pickup.

If you're considering adding a third pickup to something, I'm selling this Hamer;

Hi, this Hamer seems very nice, althoug I do not know if it can be considered a true semihollow.
I am in Italy, you? PM me please.
