The cycle is never-ending. Of course you should.. it is road worth revisiting. I have been down the SLO road at least 10 times over the past 30 years.
Maybe alter you settings a bit... Keep gain at 6 or below. back the treble of to about 4. mids at 6 or 7, depth no higher than about 4. Crank the presence all the way which will be super shrill, then back it off just enough to nix the razor blade effect. If you keep the bass lower you can blend in a little more of depth knob, without creating to much woof. But I would run the bass on on about 6 then roll in just a smidge of the depth knob only if needed. Crunch channel. same settings but crank the gain.
Crunch channel boosted is better than Od channel for most applications for me anyway.
