So sometime last year I was on the Phone with Shea {Monomyth} who asked me about my old band Spellbound. He saw on Discogs some nut paid $100 for our old cassette. Couple months later I get a call from my old engineer/co-producer from our 2nd album that some record co was trying to get in touch with me. How they got his contact info I have no idea cause he didnt have anything to do with the 1st release. Anyways.....
Fast forward to last week and its actually released on CD for the 1st time in 30 years!! Hahaha... The 2 track master was long gone and I had to remaster everything from cassette proofs. I put bonus tracks that were like 4th gen. copies and it took me months to clean up. Some of it is hard to listen to for me cause my lead playing IMO wasnt very "mature" for lack of better words. LOL There is a double tracked lead on one of the bonus tracks that I intentionally went off track to try and do a natural delay which sounded pretty cool. We did this with Billy Idols drummer Steve Missal who was a great guy to work with. The Liner notes tell the whole story of how it all came about and I was honest. Here is the 1st cut. Again, if you could of heard what I had to work with... Yikes!! LOL
