Share some Furman PQ-3 / PQ-6 settings

In the front end, boost the 800-1000hz by about 15-20dB with bandwidth around noon or a little less. I cant remember what i have the other two bands set for, but they're only boosting like 5dB or so.

Gives a great Aldrich/Sykes type boost!! Especially with the Boogs :rock: Just remember to use a Hush after it when boosting the front end. and always use the Low level inputs/outputs on the PQ.

If you want to dick around with a Stryper or Dime like tone use the EQ in front of the loop.

Plug the guitar into the low level i/p and the low level o/p goes into a hush then into the front end of your amp. You will only need 3 bands of EQ. Low mid and high.

Set the low freq on the pq for 50-100hz at a narrow bandwidth(all the way left) With a cut on the EQ (equalization knob turned all the way left)

Set the Mid Freequency to 800hz for old stryper or 1000hz for newer lol! Narrow bandwidth and EQ boosted +20db (eq knob all the way to the right)

Set the high Freq to 2000hz at a broad bandwith!! and the EQ Boosted +20db (eq knob all the way to the right)

Crank the level knob to about 8 on the eq

Set the boogie with a drastic v pattern EQ and slam the front end with the EQ and laugh your ass off!! :rawk:

Very cool!! I've tried those settings on the boogie and its more geared towards the randall. It didn't really work on the boog. I think dave will piss himself though when he tries both though :hys:
 
holy shit, that sounds amazing!! metalzone--->pq3---century200. i could get pretty close to dimes tone before but that is it to a T. i always put the pq3 in the loop. im gonna go try the same thing with my ampeg.

I know I'm EXTREMELY late but are these really Dime's settings? It seems weird that he would cut 2500hz on the middle band but boost it on the high band and it would also contradict everything I've heard about Dime's setup lol.
 
I haven't touched mine since I got it.. super noise even just plugged in so I need to open it and see if there are some bubbled caps or grounding issue of some sort. Got it cheap and I guess that's why..sounds great as a boost though
