Nice job. Sounds like the tone is what you dig. So is it a keeper??

Are you liking it or not? I thought the stage I's were ok, the II's are pretty cool. Doesn't a tube swap smooth it out?

If I had to use it without a pedal boosting the front end I wouldn't be enjoying it. With the Keeley I'm really digging it! I was unsure of it for the first few days but I do like this amp. Is it the end all be all? Of course not. Tubes... might make a difference sure. I did remember one thing, while at GC trying these out I remember being most impressed with it while using a guitar with EMGs in it. Interesting.

Sounds good Jim. The boosted one was a little bright for my taste. I liked the unboosted one better. Do you think it's a keeper?

Possibly but we know me.

That sounds like I wanted the Stiletto to sound like when I tried it! Nice tone.

How loud was that?

Thanks guys. That was just above what I would consider TV volumes.

Well I played the Cameron CCM at Amplifires and I don't think they're quite the same. I'll take that as a compliment though. It sounds bright, especially with a Strat.

I like un bright. Yes, you could take that as a compliment since many guys would kill for that tone and wait for years to get it.

Wow! Thanks.

I don't want to offend, but I thought those clips sounded awful  Thin, bright, and buzzy (fizzy?)

My crystal ball says that this amp won't last long with you ;)

No offense taken and... ya never know... er ... um.. :D

Maybe. We'll see. Feel free to stop over whenever and give it a spin.

I liked both clips, but I liked the 2nd clip better.

Sounds okay, but the coolst thing on there is your Miracle Man clip!

I really like it! My favorite clips you've posted so far. The Stiletto stage II amp is on my "Need To Add" list of amps. Love it!

Sounds like a Stiletto to me!

Here's some clips I made awhile back with my Stage I that i still have:

I switched to Diezel's about a year ago so I don't use it much anymore, however I still dig it.

I like the rhythm tone on the LP clip.

I really dug it for rhythm too for the year or so that I used it live. I used to use a Fulldrive2 for a lead boost & it was a great combination. One of these days when I have time I'd really like to record some clips mixing the Stiletto & Herbert. I think they'd compliment each other really well for tracking.

I'm swapping out some tubes. Stuck a Tung Sol in V1 and 2 JJs in V2 and V3. Seems to have darkened up the amp a touch and smoothed it out a little. I would really like to try SED EL34s and see what that does.
