Tell me which one should i buy and why? I play 70s classic rock and 80s rock mainly. Mostly Hard Rock and Hair Metal.

I have the SLO30 and some really good Marshalls. Never played a Helios. Pretty sure they're all different animals. If you play out, the portability of the SLO30 can't be beaten.

The Helios is the ideal amp for what you are into. The FX loop master really makes this a very usable amp for all kinds of applications and volumes. The SLO30 is fine, but I was left wanting more. The Overdrive channel on the SLO30 has this compression thing you can't really avoid.

I'm 63 years old and went deep down the boutique amp rabbit hole, and for me, nothing beats a good ole 2203/2204 with a SD-1
I have arrived at the same conclusion. My 2204 is a benchmark tone for me. The SD-1 just works with this as well.
Plugging into the low input can yield some great tones as well. Makes for a great pedal platform to try some of the more pre-amp style pedals like the SLO or Ecstasy.

I had a Helios 50 and foolishly sold it during my manic 'amp of the month' phase. It sounded and felt incredible. That said, if I was back in the market, I would lean heavily toward the Helios 100 (not the eclipse) just for the added punch and headroom.
