Bout to go try a Maxxwatt super hi 50. Any reason I shouldn't buy it if i like the sound? Just making sure there aren't any known problems with them. I know they are ptp built and designed by fortin, so that is encouraging

I played the 50 and Dover at NAMM. They are not that similar. The Hi Watt without the boost was not that high gain. Only part of the amp is Fortin influenced. Its good. Id not do 3500 at this point. Dover is good. But different.

Check out the Armored amps Sabot. $1,699 and made in the USA. PTP wiring, Hammond transformers, etc. I got in on the first run for $1,450 shipped. I should have one this week.

Thing was really cool to play. And the guy who had it had a shitload of guitars and turned out to be a youtuber. It was a good time. I really had to split hairs to find an issue with the amp, but it didn't completely kick my ass, so I may go in a different direction. But it had extremely smooth gain and was articulate as shit.
