Doubt that is all he uses despite what shure or GC says, or if he does, its attached to a gazzillion dollar recording chain to help it out. I have never walked into a studio and have them throw up a 58 for first, second, or third choice vocal work. But if it works for him, cool. fine for the price and live work, but I don't care for the 57/58 line other then guitar work.

Thats cool. Personally, I can't make that mic work for anything serious tracking, and I don't know anyone else who does either vocal wise or any studio I've been to/worked at, so I don't care if Bono uses it in the studio, I still wont use it

the only thing i could imagine is someone using it as a lever like a crowbar to lift an extremely heavy object, or swinging it daltry style at full speed into the edge of a steel box corner.

but the grill wasn't damaged or dented so i am really just totally bewildered...did chuck norris think it was a carrot?
