Sig:X

I have been following the Sig X since the beginning of the year. This is gonna be the amp to have this year. With the versatality, tones and workmanship you get with a VHT, along with the price at around 2100, it's a killer deal.

Bring it on!!!!

Wow! I love this amp! It's the greatest best ever amp again ever in my life again!

Well, It's just not for me. Spam...

Would you say its more like the Deliverance/UL- it's own thing tone wise? Did it look like the photos off the web, anything new on it, maybe on the back? I know how demo's go, more than you can take in. Need to mess with it to see what does what. With that many options it would be hard to keep track. Thanx :)

It's got that VHT fingerprint and stays very tight, but it's definitely different. Steve F dialed in the Sig and D120 very similarly but they were still different.

Listen, I know you're trying to trick me into tricking you to buy the new VHT amp for me, but you probably already know this.

Only two KT88s?? What's the wattage on it then? Like 60?

50 and 100. Having enough volume will not be an issue.

Two KT88's done correctly should be 100 watts. I'm not sure how they set up the transformers in that amp, but I think I remember rumors that they were going full power with it.

Was it being played through a P50 loaded cab?

Yes, we played it through the D412 and the FB412. Both cabs sounded great, although I seemed to prefer a specific cab for each player. There was a dude there named Reggie who's an absolutely smoking player, and I liked him through the D412 and then Pat Lachman sounded great through the FB412 with the quick metal riffing. Actually, I was a little torn on which cab I preferred with Pat (Pat kicks major booty on the guitar too). I preferred Steve F through the FB and then myself through the D412.

All I can say is there are going to be a lot of people digging this amp!

So you may be tempted to trade in your Deliverance Bob?  J/K

Or just add to the collection :)

Nope, the D60 is staying. I don't have the coin for a new amp so I won't be getting the Sig:X any time soon, although I certainly wouldn't mind having one.

What does each channel sound like? I know that's a dumb question, but not having a chance to play/hear one and being really excited about this particular amp, I would love to know what kind of vibe it's got!

Interesting. I suppose it depends alot on the players style, just like those who prefer one cab over the other.

Pat's a good shit. I hung out with him for awhile when I opened for Damageplan. I never can seem to get my hands on anything he plays guitar on though.
