NAD. The JVM sucks? Clip added LOL..

.

EPI 355 into red channel od2 Red with Gain almost off. straight into OX preset 1 into UA Volt 246 into Garage band. first clip since Tascam portastudio days, LOL.

Wow, that sounds really brown. How high was the master set?

Jdub - you are getting a killer, killer tone with the new amp. Really great recording, too. But one reason it 'sounds' so good is the you play really, really well. Even just noodling around, your timing and rhythm are groovy and locked in. Would love to hear some more clips!

Trying to post a fkn clip....I plugged it straight in to the dreaded red channel of od 2 with an epiphone 355 into preset 1 on an OX and made a quick wank clip with but I cant get it to upload? .. technically challenged?
The most negative post in history...lol. Jk 😜

I was trying to get as close to my 1959HW as I could. Settings....Master was about noon. OD 2 red.. Channelvolume cranked ,pre amp gain barely cracked, Mids dimed, bass and treble presence about 10 oclock. Resonance cranked. For me the real surprise is how good that EPI 355 sounds and plays. It is one ofmy best sounding guitars and also one of the least expensive. Go figure?

Try this once . Go to Chanell 4 red . Try master volume at 7 . But have pre gain at 1 or 2 .such a killer tone
Thanks. To me that channel turns toll un-defined mush with the preamp above 9 AM. YMMV and thanks all the same.

That is far too kind and generous an assessment, but very much appreciated and the positive feedback helps break the ice so to speak. I will post more clips. maybe a/b/c the 77 2204, JVM and Plexi?

It seems the JVM series is making a bit of a comeback around here. Most likely because:

A. Are reasonably priced
B. Are very versatile
C. Sounds great right out of the box
D. All of the above

I'm going with D.

I've had like 3 JVM205H's. First key is good tubes and proper bias. OD2 Orange was where I lived, OD2 red was a bit over the top and more modern, but worked great as a lead channel. My biggest gripe was the shared gain for those 2 modes. I couldn't really get enough gain in OD1 and never used it. Even boosted. Still great amps, never tried the 410H.

The 410H solves this very dilema and do not cost that much more

Thanks. I got mine new with good guy discount for 1550 to my door. Cant complain! I like it and I hav had LOTS of "more premium " amps but this things sounds good to me in the house setting. Trying it in band setting Monday.
Was that for the 50 watt?

Thanks Dan. I shy away from posting or making cause the audience seems ruthless here and I cant think of anything worthy to play.
You should post more clips. I like the tones you're getting a lot more than most of the modded Marshall/variac etc clips.
