[Hermansson Amplification]

It’s time for another Simms!

I really like the big transformers in these amps.

Here’s the guts from the original PA circuit.

Out with the old and in with the new.

Making new turret boards.

Turret boards filled with NOS Mustard Capacitors and Iskra resistors along with some new components.

Installing the new circuits in the amp.

Here's the finished result:

It has two channels with gain, volume, treble, middle, bass and a three way gain structure switch.
Channel 2 also has a tightness control and a growl control. The controls for the power amp is master volume, presence, punch and deep.

I have been a fan for a few years now.

It may sound weird but, hi-res pics of his work, converted into sofa size artwork and hung on the wall, would look really good in my rehearsal space, home theater, studio, office...etc.

Just love the attention to detail and vintage look.

Here's a layout for the front panel.

I usually use a mix of Chinese tubes and old Brimar tubes.

Var jätte kul att se, tycker du bygger väldigt snyggt ,ordning oreda och lite extra kul att se du börjat plast kondingar i nätdelen har ju själv labbat lite med dessa inspirerat av KOC som anväder dessa i sina byggen.
Tycker du hör någon skillnad ?
Går verkligen dina SGM så kallt att du kan bultband runt dom ? Ser ju snyggt ut med funderade på värmen.

Cool. Never tried Brimar's.. JJ ECC83 MG's are supposed to be like Brimar's. Have you tried them?

Kul att du gillar bygget Owe! Har gått över till plastkondingar och försöker använda så få elektrolyter som möjligt i mina byggen. Kör ju med så små kondingar som möjligt i nätdelen för att få den att gunga och "spela med", så framför allt känns det i händerna även om det kan vara svårt att höra skillnad Byggde nyligen en trekanalig stärk av en Selmer PA 100 utan några elektrolyter alls. Får köra denna på full fyrkant ett tag och kolla så att det inte luktar bränt av buntbanden, tack för tipset
