Fantastic! Love seeing the SLO with the mids all the way up.

Excellent playing, btw!

Thanks man! I just learned this song because I've just joined a band that's going to do a lot of 80's hair metal covers. I'm sooo exited! These guys love old Dokken, Ratt, Whitesnake, stuff like that. I can't wait to get it rolling.

Sounds good , what speakers are in the cab ?

Speakers are 2 old English V30's on the bottom and 2 RI Greenbacks on top. PRS has a Bareknuckles VHII in the bridge. I'm goosing the front with an OCD set has more of a clean boost.

Nice setup !
I run a Soldano HR100+ through a Avatar Vintage 4X12 with greenbacks , love to play 80's rock as well .

I should probably mention that I'm running a Bassman head with a little DD3 delay and an old Danelectro cool cat chorus through 2 V30's as well. Both amps are running together with the Bassman mixed just underneath the SLO. There are no fx on the SLO, just the OCD.

Sounds great man!
I love the SLO.

Thanks, man! I love it, too. I still don't think she needs a depth mod. Mine's stock, and if you listen on the right speakers you can hear how much low end it has. I had the bass on 7 here, I actually think I need to back it off a bit. My settings where gain - 5.5, bass - 7, middle - 10, treble - 4, presence - 7. MV was on 6. OCD settings were level - 11:00, gain - hair above 9:00, tone - 11:00. I was trying these settings out based on the recommendation of another guy on youtube's SLO video. I wasn't sure I'd like it, but I think it sounds killer.

The thing I really dig is high the high strings on a SLO ring out and are so defined for the amount of gain used. Sounds good man...real good

That's one of the reasons I love it too. And the gain is only set at 5.5. Everyone who tries out a SLO HAS to try it out at a good volume (with some of ear plugs). It comes alive or at least goes into a whole other level that's just magical, imho. It really is meant to be cranked.

That's why I have my Hot Rod 25, sounds damn close and no ear bleed. Actually sounds better at useable volume to me. Still has that upper string thing going on too. I set my gain about the same as you BTW.

It's crossed my mind to sell the SLO and pick up a 25 for that very reason. I'm afraid I'd regret it though. Not being able to get it to that volume that's on the video is a drawback. It sounds so good when the MV is past noon. I've never been able to get it at that volume live. I've had it to about 4 and maybe a little past that, but that's it.

They are showing up used now, bought mine mint for $1500 which I thought was reasonable...get a used one from GC and return it if it doesn't out SLO your SLO

If I only had $1500 lying around. :D She sounds really good below that volume, so it's not that big a deal. I'd still love to try a 25 out. Every clip I've heard of them sounds really good.

I'm sure the 25 is nice. All Soldano stuff is good but you have the flagship there. If you sold it for a 25 I'd drive over and......I'm kidding. But don't do it. Come up with the cash and buy its baby brother. Its not gonna out SLO the SLO and you know it.
BTW nice clip!

I have both, the 25 is right there IMO some ways better as it gets the goods at realistic volumes and it has a proper loop that works and works well. Downside is 25 really doesn't have a true clean (or clean switch) but you can back off the gain enough to get there if needed. I like em both just that you don't need to get the 25 to ear bleed before it gives up the goods. The 25 is a bit more forgiving too, not as stiff it seems to me.

See, I don't get the 'ear bleed volume give up the goods' thing. I thought at 2, even a little earlier my SLOs sounded great. Maybe even better louder but after 3-4 it stayed unchanged tone wise. But I boosted mine a little maybe thats why. But I think Marshalls sound good at lower volumes too, and get better louder.
