The 2x12 is super nice; just got one a few weeks ago. Plus, I figure the head wouldn't be able to sit on top of a 1x12 cab, would it?

i never heard the 212....anyone compared it to the suhr or bogner 212? A matching cab should match ;-)

I'm definitely no expert, but I would "assume" that other cabs of similar construction with the same speakers should sound extremely close, eh? (Closed-back, quality plywood, good wiring, and V30s).
Personally I wanted a paired setup in terms of build quality, tone and appearnce. I may go for a 4x12 a bit later as well if the tolerant and supportive nature of my wife holds up.
