Sneak Peek at my Mammoth Custom LPC!!!

Got some build pics from Ron Estrada at Mammoth Custom Guitars. He is building me a neck-thru LPC loosely based on the Zakk LP's. This project was started as a tribute to my brother Jay (RIP) as he was an instant Zakk fanboy right when NRFTW was released. He always want a ZK LPC (neck thru) to be built but was never in a financial situation to be able to do so.

Anyway here's a little "sneak peak" - I'll do a full pictorial when it's complete but he sent me about 20 pics yesterday. I am excite!

Thanks man! Jay was one of the hardest working but least appreciated family men I knew. He had his faults as we all do but ever since I started dealing with Ron at Mammoth, Jay always wanted a cross between the Bullseye and Buzz Saw Zakk LPC but he wanted a neck thru version. He never would have splurged on it as he was sole provider for his wife and 2 kids. I thought this would be a great tribute. It will be white and black.

The heel has got me tapping already. I LOVE Les Pauls but can't play them for crap! That's why I dig my PRS SE245 so much. Great access.

I know LP purists will say "It won't sound like a Lester" but the aesthetic is what I like on a LP, not necessarily the tone.

Fuck the purists. That heel is why I hardly play my Lester anymore. A neck through option is incredible. I'm loving his attention to detail too.

Thanks! A buddy of mine is designing a custom inlay for the headstock. More of a stylized Scorpi zodiac sign. My bros birthday was Halloween.
