So, anyone else seeing Polyphia live this year?

Got tix for a show nearby next Wednesday. I was watching a live vid from Australia and they listed upcoming shows, and discovered they're playing about an hour away from me.

Asked my youngest if he wanted to go to the show, he said yes, otherwise I'd be going solo. FWIW, he doesn't even like Polyphia, (he's into Pink Floyd, RHCP,...)

I’d see ‘em if they swing through, I tend to enjoy most stuff a lot more in a live environment and I figure if I can be entertained through an entire Yngwie set I‘d be equally as entertained with these guys. It’s this kinda stuff I generally scarf some edibles before the show and just take it in.

I was surprised they're playing here; we're on the geritol circuit, we either get musicians long past their prime or new, unknown musicians.

That said, we have a new music venue which seems to be attracting more musicians of all ages and genres, hopefully that continues to grow!

These guys are one of the few acts that I recognize the technical ability and can appreciate it but I just can't stand listening to them. Their tone is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

The District Live, in Savannah, GA. They're also playing in Charleston, SC which is further from me.

Not getting to see Polyphia but me and my wife are seeing Periphery in November at house of blues. Along with Plini, Mike Dawes, and Archspire.
My wife is a cancer survivor and due to her getting a double mastectomy we get special seating in the ADA section (pretty much the best place to see the show).

I haven't seen Periphery in probably a decade, but when I saw them open for BTBAM they blew me away. Phenomenal live. I hope you both love it!

I'm not going to lie, 3 years ago I had a short stint where I was obsessed with Polyphia. I like that they are progressing guitar, but it's just not my thing.

I'm seeing them at the end of October in Boston . . . I saw them about 5 years ago in Boston with Chon, and every single minute of the show I was blown away by both bands. Can't wait. .. I have a pretty broad taste in music. .Last concert I went to a few days ago was MOE. and a bunch of jam bands in Lake George, NY, a week earlier Matt O'ree at a local club (Nectars) , a few weeks prior was INCUBUS in New Hampshire and a month prior to that was Extreme and Living Colour in NH. . With that said, Polyphia are incredible to me and I'm an old guitarist and music lover
