And the Broncos are going to suck for the next 5 years... I thought that with a little defensive help, they could have done some serious damage this year. Over the last couple years, he's already established himself as the 2nd best QB in Bronco history (and the 2nd biggest baby after Griese).

I guess the Bears will be a very interesting team now...

It'll be crazy seeing the Bears have a QB that can actually make plays. The Broncos are really going to have fun with shitty Kyle Orton.

EDIT: The Bears also signed Orlando Pace yesterday, so that's great for them if he stays healthy.

this is probably the dumbest move they made since trading Portis for Champ Baley...don't get me wrong, I like Champ..he's a great corner (when he's not hurt) but you do NOT trade a premeir running back for a friggin' corner like that!

They deserve what they get as far as I'm concerned...total boneheaded move..

I'm suprised they didn't try and get Anderson from the Browns, or get the Jets involved. Maybe they wanted him to go to the NFC so they don't have to see him again. I'm glad he didn't go to the Redskins at least. He's got one of the best arms, but what a fucking crybaby heh.

Not as dumb as the Eagles thinking they'll win a Superbowl with McNabb as their QB. :D

And i approve of all the moves the Eagles have made soo far this offseason  If their goal was to make their team worse then they have succeeded. :D

I was somewhat hoping the Lions would trade pick #20 for him, but, given what the Bears gave up in trades, the price was too steep.

As a Lions fan, here's to hoping he's a "cancer" to the bears...lol

I really hope the Lions take Curry in the draft. We'll actually have a defense. Especially now that's we've gotten rid of the "sit back and wait for it" Tampa-2 that was there previously.

Julian Peterson, Sims and Curry...

Millen had an affliction for hiring coaches who's systems were relevant about 5 years prior...and didn't fit the team.

I was cruising some sports pages and saw this.

No big news around the Philadelphia Eagles. Over at Bleeding Green Nation they are, however, debating whether or not Brian Westbrook's role in the Eagles' offense should be limited. Umm, you guys go right ahead with that. The Giants, and everyone else who plays the Eagles, would love to see Westbrook's number of touches go down. They might even send Andy Reid a 'thank-you' note

other than throwing the ball into the wrong endzone, playing Westbrook LESS would be the worst thing to do for that team..lol

I don't think FUN is the right word...

I don't think that was that bad of a trade - Champ is one of the few NFL caliber players on the Denver D, and Portis is getting to be a high mileage tailback - how many premier running backs blow out knees and are never the same.

They definately didn't want him in the AFC. Who says they are done? I don't see them starting the season with either Simms or Orton at QB, so that means they either trade one of their 2 #1's or go out and get a guy like Leftwich...

I don't know. I think, talent wise, he's probably in the cut of guys just below Peyton, Brady, and Brees. That puts him in the group of Eli, Palmer, Rivers, Rothlesberger, Romo, McNabb, etc.

the broncos got alot for him

I would agree - 2 #1's and a 3. Although they did have to take on Orton's contract - he wasn't even that good in college running the Purdue 5-wide!

thing is, Champ hardly made them go from a second rate team into a superbowl contender...and since portis left they haven't really had their running game of old....I'm sorry..it's just something you never NEVER do.....hell, even hurt portis is still good for 1000 yards a season....

I wouldn't mind having Leftwich on the broncos..he looked really good those couple times he sat in for Ben Cheeseburgerinparadise

Cutler is overated. However, I think he will do very well in Chicago since the team is used to having pathetic QB play. Denver did get a lot for him, and if he was going to be a bitch better to let him go than have him poison the locker room with a new regime taking over. They need a fresh start there. I actually like Chris Simms as the "hold-over" guy for a couple years as long as he can still play. When coached right he can do pretty well. Then Denver can draft a QB either this year or next with all the picks they secured. It should be pretty easy to trade up if they see someone they like with 2 1st round picks for both 2009/2010.

could be but i don't think he even faced a top 10 defense last year :dunno:

Ahh, but he had a bottom-5 defense on the other side of the ball and 7 different tailbacks behind him.

also keep in mind that Cutler was in a shit system....they had the talent on offense but the offense was run HORRIBLY...
