Just to follow up: The seller has really pulled through and is a stand up guy. I DO NOT believe that he packed the amp with toys. I believe this was nonsense pulled by USPS. Just 2 weeks ago they stole a Sony VAIO that was en route to me. The laptop just vanished in thin air. Then when the dealer sent a replacement, a lady who looked like she was totally on crack tries putting a note on my door without even delivering the item! I ran out and was like, "Ma'am, would you mind at least ATTEMPTING a delivery before putting a note on the door?" She then walks to her car, grabs the box with the laptop, and slams it down on the pavement in front of my house and leaves.

People use USPS because they were significantly cheaper before. Now, they are NOT significantly cheaper and often times they are more expensive and their delivery services are laughably ridiculous. They must be hiring ex-cons or something.

Anyway, the seller ended up being a really stand-up guy. Things are looking up. Thanks everyone. This is, by leaps and bounds, the best musicians' forum on the net.

I'd go to your post office and file a written complaint and ask to speak to the branch manager about that delivery person. If you don't stomp on assholes then they'll just keep being assholes to other people. Good luck with getting that Diezel fixed up and props to the folks here offering to help.

It starts with the King on down...very cool people here. Am guessing someone dropped your amp on their toe, they got pissed off and kicked the box, it busted it open, and out of spite, they crammed a bunch of shit in there to shift the blame back onto the shipper.

I sell quite a bit of new Diezel product and will reach out to my German family and find out my cost for a replacement Einstein headshell which is what you need.

I will send it to you for my exact cost so you can get it back tip top shape and enjoy your amp. Heck if you like I will upgrade it to white tolex for you with blue knobs at no cost as well to help you out and turn lemons into lemonade and give you the baddest Einstein anyone has ever seen.

I usually ship with DHL Express but UPS might be cheaper for a empty headshell. Regardless whatever it is, it is, not a penny more. I know it sucks to be excited about something, save for it and then be bummed when its gets busted. I wasn't always able to buy and sell this stuff at will

The box was probably opened by the shipping company somewhere along the way and they probably threw the toys in. I've had packages delivered that i could tell were opened and repacked. One time i shipped with UPS and the guy said if i didn't leave a description of what was in the box that he was going to open my box.

Now would you really put it past the shipping company to do that?
