So does anything other than a Mesa Mark sound like a Mark?

I remember thinking of (I forget which model) playing an Engl amp-- and thinking it was reminiscent of my MKIII, in tone and feel. A bit different, but close enough for me to think of the similarity.

Several years ago on here (or it could have been HCAF), I remember forum member J.B. saying that he thought his Engl Blackmore sounded very Mark Boogie-ish (specifically, I think he said it reminded him of a Mark IV).

It was when they 1st came out, at Tone Merchants-- when they were in Anaheim, CA. I don't think the model Blackmore was it, but it was similar vibe. I prefer the MKIII Coliseum Simul-Class head that I've had since new in, 1986. MAGIC amp!

Someone should make a boutique version of those Dumble amps.

They do. Two Rock is one example. Never tried either a Dumble or two rock to confirm.
