I have been a Mesa guy as long as I can remember, (Roadster, Mark IV, Stiletto V1+2, Rectifier) but I finally decided to bite the bullet and pick up a Diezel Vh4. Holy cow, this thing sounds amazing!! Channel 1 can get super clean with headroom for days. Ch. 2 sounds great for a either a pushed clean sound with I throw an overdrive pedal over, or a great classic rock sound. Ch. 3 is the money channel. I am in alternative rock band, so this is my main sound. It is absolutely amazing. When I play a chord, ever note is hear crystal clear (something that seems to get a little lost in the Mesa's) and very rhythmic. Ch. 4 is a little much for me. It sounds really good for those 1 note at a time riffs, very metal. Didnt necessarily like it for leads. I think for that I'll stick with ch. 3 and put an OD pedal over it with some delay.

All in all, amazing amp. Just going to pick up an Acess CFX4 for my Roadster so I can run those in stereo. Give the Mark iv the bump.

Welcome aboard. What a terrific amp to "Enter Family" with... The VH4 is probably one of if not the world's finest all around multi-channel head. Nothing else sounds like it (and THAT coming from a Hagen convertee :D )

Cheers!
Uncle Mo

Hell yeah man! They are the best arent they?
I had one a couple years back....sold it to buy a Herbert(should of kept the VH4 but GAS got the best of me)
Currently saving up for another VH4.

Please tell me the serial number. Maybe we can do something on channel 4.

Oh no worries there! I found a use for it, but spending the majority of my time on ch.3. Ch.4 still sounds great, but my personal tastes are more of the ch.3 vibe.

Congrats on the VH4! I really have to try one of these out.

If you have the chance to, do it! Ive been a Mesa guy as long as I can remember, but the VH4 blows them out of the water. A little pricey, but worth the extra $$

Congrats! I love the VH4 and want one to go along with my Herbert. ahhhh GAS

This plus 1000!!
I bought a New Herbert a few years back...some of the fuse "holders" got broke during shipping.
Peter asked me for my mailing address and he sent me a couple of them for free all the way from Germany!
I still owe him a bottle of Whiskey. :D

I am actually trying to get rid of all my Mesas right now to pick up either a VH4 or Hagen.

I have decided that I need to simplify my setup a little.

Im still hanging on to my Mesa's for other purposes, but the VH4 is now #1.

One Mesa down. Two to go!

Going from three amps down to one and a half. I also have a looper pedal that I use when I practice so I think I'll just pick up a Roland Cube, Fender Mustang, or something to play the loops through for practicing.

I cant part with my Roadster or Mark IV, both great amps. But I am now at 3 (Stiletto gone) and dont plan on any additions anytime soon.

2 down, 1 to go! I can almost taste it!

I already got the okay from the wife to buy the VH4 even though I haven't sold the Mark V. I don't think that the Mark V should be too hard to sell at a decent price.

VH4 shopping for me!
