Not So Fast: Special Prosecutors Interrupt Celebrations.
Actor Alec Baldwin is not home free even though charges against him were dropped, according to the special prosecutors in the case.However, in their statement Thursday night on the decision to drop the charges, special prosecutors Jason Lewis and Kari Morrissey said it does not mean they are gone for good.
“Over the last few days and in preparation for the May 3, 2023, preliminary hearing, new facts were revealed that demand further investigation and forensic analysis in the case against Alexander ‘Alec’ Rae Baldwin, III,” the prosecutors said in a statement.
“Consequently, we cannot proceed under the current time constraints and on the facts and evidence turned over by law enforcement in its existing form,” they said.
The prosecutors said the charges were being dismissed to “conduct further investigation.”
“This decision does not absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal culpability and charges may be refiled,” they said. “Our follow-up investigation will remain active and on-going.”
Baldwin still has a civil lawsuit to deal with.
Members of Hutchins’ family, including her father, mother and sister, have a lawsuit pending against Baldwin

Yes, the civil cases will now begin. Baldwin's insurance will settle out of court.

Yea, I think he handled it like an asshole. He immediately blamed everyone around him and didn’t seem to once take responsibility for what he did.

Not sure you'd want to 'take responsibility' for killing a woman on a movie set.
Michael Massee was never charged for killing Brandon Lee for reference.

It's been a while since the incident and to be honest I didn't follow it that closely until all the guys who hated Baldwin for imitating Trump started to bark. That part was what amused me.

I think it’s stupid that someone died just to get a cool shot for a movie. Anyone that holds a gun should know not to point it at someone unless they intend to shoot them.
Not only did he take someone else’s life, he acted like he did nothing wrong to preserve his own life. Fuck that dude
