Basically, started this thread for fun and to spark some good convos.

But the truth is , Judas Priest is never going to be as cool as Iron Maiden, never have as good of a iconic mascot. Never have better songs.

Iron Maider will always be better.

I strongly disagree ..... some priest songs shit all over some maiden songs and some maiden songs shit all over some priest songs

I am more of a Priest fan but like both. Saw Queensryche open for Maiden at Radio City in '85. The only thing is Dickinson can get annoying live running around like a jack rabbit. Now that was a show. I think Maiden writes more catchy riffs, but Priest writes the better songs and while Maiden is a mostly a Progressive band Priest can do everything from old school metal to Thrash and let's not talk about Halford's Fight, some of the best Metal done.

Love Both! But I'll take the mighty Priest who have a much more diversified catalog of music.....

I'm a diehard maiden fan from their first album to powerslave. Dianno years were classic maiden all the way!

Some tunes off somewhere in time are cool but that's about it for me.

I'd go alittle farther than blaming in on the galien Kruger amps. Lol. That's being nice about it. Their whole approach started to change, music was taking a new heavier direction with newer band coming up and slot of old school maiden fans like myself were starting g to shift over.

Maiden will always be iconic as will Priest.

Those 5 nights at radio city were my first ever concerts!
I went on Super Bowl Sunday and it was brutally cold, on record as on of the coldest in the city's history.

I've never been able to fund video footage of that. 1985 powerslave tour with queensryche. Maiden kicked ass !!

I love both bands. Can't really say that I like one more than the other. They're just so different... No need to compare. Just sit back and enjoy. Great memories of some of the best concerts I've ever attended.

The '82 Priest Live in Memphis will always be my favorite concert video of all time.

What are you? 12 years old? Give me a fuckin break? Your opinion, fine, but dont a be a fuckin idiot, please.

Nothings better than priest.
Nothings better than maiden.
Nothings better than motorhead.
Nothings better than bacon.

Silly statement to make. Both great bands. Way better drumming on just about any Maiden album and bass for that matter (until Travis came in but even then, straight blasts don't compare to Nicko's musical playing), but the Priest is the Priest and there is no denying them a place on the metal throne. I do love Adrian though, in my top 10 guitarists for sure and Somewhere in Time is a bitchin album.

I've always been a bigger Maiden fan. I do realize I need to go back and listen to Priest more though. They have some great stuff, and Painkiller was awesome IMHO.

With Maiden I loved everything up to and including Fear Of The Dark. I like some of their newer stuff, but not like I love the old stuff. I do think it's cool that the fans really go nuts for the new stuff, and that they're still going strong. I kind of see them as the Led Zeppelin of heavy metal. They're a once in a lifetime type of band.

I saw priest on the vengeance tour I got to meet Tipton Coney Hatch opened they were both killer saw maiden that year too both are great bands ..though I do like the DiAnno ,Clive burr line up better..

I was 15 when both bands really started hitting their stride. I got more out of Iron Maiden musically and entertainment wise than Priest. I really liked Priest but I just dug Maiden so much more.

Posted a great clip Rez
What a coincidence; I was 15 when I stopped caring about 'band X is "so much better than" band Y' retard slap fights.

I saw them summer of 1981 open for Judas Priest. My buddies and I went out and bought the Killers album to see what we were in for.
One of the best shows I've ever seen.
