Let's see if I get it. So if I or in this case SR makes a deal having an honest stance, trusting the buyer/seller and not trying to be a street smart ass and gets effed then the issue is in the honest naive people that trust liars and thieves and not in the liars and thieves themselves?

Doing it wrong is when one trusts people in 2017 dear Sir. And here I mean people in general without previous knowledge of who the individuals are. I've never seen such a number of lowlifes trying to cheat on honest people like today. So yeah, people suck. Close the thread

I really do not see this guys agenda though. Why buy the amp, deliberately do damage to it then return it? He could have easily just returned it for refund without all the hassle or screwing over "savage". It's not like he benefited or gained anything financially with his actions. I mean no offence by any of my comments BTW, as another rig-talker said to me last week, I'm just making an observation... and I'll certainly concede that some people suck. The vast majority, however, do not...

There are tens of thousands of people conducting transactions on reverb, ebay, forums etc. And hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of pieces of gear available for sale through these systems right now. And who knows how many millions of transactions have been done through these systems over the years. Doing it wrong is being naive enough to think that any of this is new or just started getting worse. We have a relatively small community of folks who share a common interest on this forum, it hurts when one of our own gets burned, hurts worse we you/I get burned. But that is not enough evidence to conclude that people suck. At this point we all know the risks of this game, but we're all still here and most are still willing to play so generally speaking, the other people playing can't be all that bad...

It seems like scamron kavian wanted to try the amp out for free basically. Hell, even at GC you lose your shipping if you return an item..on Reverb/EBay even that gets refunded.

First of all, there is always a lot of talk and not always the action needed. I think the most positive thing about this is that a lot of people got involved in these threads and we connected many dots.

So far, there have been at least 3 people on this very forum who were screwed by the guy, so for those of you who want to so casually brush it off, realize that this isn't some isolated incident. I am making a big deal of it, but look at what we've accomplished. Even Reverb has been following this thread and it may be that they will become more protective of their sellers after this. I'll give the shirt off of my back to help anyone out, and I'm 100% honorable in all of my dealings, but I do have a terrible temper and I struggle to forgive people for even minor infractions against me. If someone screws me over, I will not stop ever. That's a personality flaw that I just can't help. I will dig up all the dirt on Kavian and I'm telling you naysayers right now that sooner or later, he's going to go to jail for at least a criminal mischief misdemeanor.

Yes, I purposefully created more than one thread and made it a big deal because it is a big deal. I'm very appreciative of all the support from my fellow Rig-Talkers, and it certainly helps trade in this forum because we have a tight knit community here that has no tolerance for deviant traders. This is a damned great forum and I'm honored to be a part of it.
