hi,my name is (removed),i have been looking at your official mark Cameron custom kemper Aldrich marshall jmp...... it is so nice,

I have not seen any of your eBay ads (nor do I own a Kemper or shop on eBay) but this may be the problem right here

But yeah, I think if you do what Steve is saying then you're pretty much covered.

Can't imagine anyone having problems like this here on R-T.

I also can't imagine anyone seeing this as a way to make a profit off someone else's work. Seems like a lot of effort for what $30-$40 if they scam your profile and try to sell it as their own ??

Maybe you should sell them for $33,000. Then you know you will be selling to people who are only the best..

I already sent you the Kemper profile pack to your E-mail, this is a Kemper profile. If you don't have a Kemper amp and bought this by mistake I will cancel the transaction and send you a refund.
Thanks,

Playing dumb IS a way to steal your profiles, bro... These guys may be clever thieves and not dumbasses...

Steve

No, get a free profile to use on their Kemper.

definitely scammers, at least most. nobody thinks a Cameron modded Marshall is 30 bucks!

Steve

I do want to point out that the guy I quoted is still waiting for something, I don't know what, he already was sent the profile and then I offered him a refund but he responded that "It's ok, I will wait, thanks" so I don't know what he expects at this point?

I wouldn't waste my time selling them. Maybe one day, they'll figure out a way to copyright. I don't see how it's any different than burning a CD and selling it, really.

Not trying to bust your balls here, or start a debate. Just saying, everyone's out to make a buck. The days of "sharing", are a thing of the past. I wonder how many people play games buying these amps, profile them, then play stupid and return it? I've seen people on here brag about it. I say, expect silly people, when you're out to make money on a silly platform. $40? Maybe if it was like $10, it would make more sense.

Some of these sound like scammers, with the broken English and poor grammar. Red flag for me. And, I agree with poster above. Your abuse of tags to draw hits/views of your store, begs for trouble. I hate that shit too. Nothing like shopping for a Marshall, and having to filter out covers, tube kits, and other B.S. Same thing with actual amp buyers having to sift through Kemper Profiles if he's looking for a Marshall, Cameron, JMP, Friedman, Bogner, etc..

I havnt sold on EBay in ages, but do they have a way of adding a conditional check box on checkout? On other websites when the conditions of sale can be misunderstood a check here to confirm box always works well.

I have no problem believing people are stupid, inept, confused or simply foolish.

Not bad if you sell a bunch at $33 a pop. I would buy one and then re-sell at $23. BAM! Competition Bro...the American dream...

I can't believe people are this stupid...holy fuck, do you even READ bro

Here's my take:

There shouldn't be any "selling Kemper profiles" period.
The Kemper is so stinking expensive, KEMPER should be "profiling" every single amp that is in existence,
and offering them all for FREE on their own website.

But that's just my opinion. I'm cheap. I just think digital modelers should be cheap.
If you want "the real thing", then buy the real thing. Pay the big bucks.
But a "model" of a REAL THING? C`mon. Sheesh.
:dunno:

^ but the reason the profiles that are out there are different is because no two rigs are the same.

That's what make it exciting. Plus there are good profiles and bad profiles. The profile is made up of the player, the guitar, pickups, boosts, amp, amp mods/tweaks, tubes used, any effects, IRs, speakers, cabinet, mic, mic position, room, DAWs, etc.

Right?

But let's not get into modelling vs real deal argument

Right?

I don't know exactly how the KEMPER works.
From what little information I have seen, you plug an AMP into the KEMPER, and the KEMPER
sends signals to the amp, and then records the responses it gets.
Then it makes the profile.

Is that correct? Or is there more to it?

More to it. It does that, but like said above.

Picture this....player, guitar, pickups, amp, amps settings, cab, speakers, mic positions. What the Kemper does is take a digital snapshot of all of that, and stores it as a very small file that you can keep on your Kemper.

Theoretically you could have every single setting of an amp with any number of boosts, cabs, mics, pickups etc...and personal opinions about 'things sounding digital' aside, it sounds and feels real, like you're playing that amp with that boost using that mic on that cab.

If you think about it like that, the fact that you can pay $3 or $30 or whatever and have basically every sound that an amp you can't afford can make, it's kind of a really cool thing.

Add to that, you can run it to a cab and to FOH at the same time, you can record with it silently etc. it's pretty badass.

This kind of stuff is essential for some people...most of the year I live in an apartment in UT; there's no miking up 100w tube amps here, people would just call the cops.

I had an AxeII for about 18 months and that thing was a blast. Planning on snagging a Kemper next month.

Go be poor somewhere else.

Seriously, I'm kidding. There are just too many variables when it comes to the Kemper. There is no way to just "profile everything".

Nobody's mentioned mic preamps either, another "critical" tone element to throw into the mix, so to speak.

I mean, you could take your amp to 10 different studios and end up with 10 different sounds depending upon the number of mic's (blended), mic model/s, mic positioning, mic preamps, outboard compression / EQ used, and so on.

EXP, I thought it was funny when you mentioned this "buying an amp" thing on the Kemper forum, but seeing these quotes took it into new territory for me. Too funny man, and thanks so much for sharing.

I'm not the only seller this happened to, I guess someone thought they were buying a Diezel VH4 for 50 dollars... Waiting to get details on that story.

More and more I believe this is straight stupidity and less scammers being clever.
