Wow! The fractal board is wild.....those dudes over there are freaking out. Poor Cliff needs to send out some medication to those guys

Looks like he will be putting a few up for sale each day this week at an unspecified time. Interesting!

The "How things work" post was interesting...

I fully understand where Cliff is coming from, but him posting that was a bad idea.

That company needs some serious PR.

Kind of an eye opener about the reality of gear forums in the modern age. Does music even have anything to do with it anymore.

the strangest disorder about GAS is the obsessive need to be first to own a new product

it normally goes hand in hand with the same person wanting desperately to be able to speak from a position of authority, and not being able to from a skilled playing ability or real world experience perspective

I may start looking into the standards or an elevenrack. My PodHD is cool, but a racked unit hooked up to a good amp via 4CM and a GCP would be a cool setup.

How Things Work, Shipping, Etc.

Listen you bunch of indignant whiners:

We can only physically process so many orders a day. If we were to dump 100 units in the store they would undoubtedly sell out that same day. There is no way we could ship 100 units the next day. So then people would be bitching and moaning that their unit hasn't shipped yet.

So we put a certain number of units into the store each day that we know we can fulfill the following day.

Today those units sold out in 90 seconds which I found humorous but those with impaired funny bones took as an affront.

Tomorrow more units will be placed in the store. The next day we will again place units in the store and so on.

This is the way it works. If you don't like it or feel insulted by it or by what I have written then don't buy it.

A lot of you need to check your attitudes at the door. The amount of self-entitlement being displayed is absolutely revolting.

Kind of a dick thing to post given that his answer was "I think so" when people asked if there were going to be enough to fill the first wave of orders.

Thank God Jay Mitchell is over there on the forum, so there is one thing that can piss people off more than the Fractal customer service.

I agree 100% but that is no excuse for Cliff, as a company president and no matter how frustrated he was, to call his customers names.

I have deleted that forum from my bookmarks. They didn't even answer me one time on a tech question, someone from THIS board read my post THERE and came to my aid.

Me as well. That shit trickles down from the top and the top is Cliff.

I am not shocked as I have seen other posts of his on forums that came across as pretty rude. I always just ignored them to circumstance, bad day, whatever. It has happened enough now that I just think he is arrogant and can be because his product is pretty much untouched based on the modelers I have experienced. I had a small amount of desire for an Axe FX II, but Cliff saved me $2200. There are plenty of builders on this board alone that are class acts I would rather give my money to. Even though their producing only one amp and not many sims plus effects. I always preferred the Eventide coloring more regarding effects. Just my opinion as an indignant whiner. I will check my attitude and my cash/gear funds at the door, thank you very much!!

Cliff is handling this situation and product release completely wrong, IMO. Then again, he's running a small operation that cannot possibly keep pace with the demand of their products, and doesn't necessarily need the twinkletoes approach to PR that's expected from larger companies. The board over there has been ridiculous lately, and people are upset for absolutely no reason.

Don't disagree one bit. If he keeps this childish bullshit up there will be more like yourself but if he is selling enough units he won't care. Ironically he deleted the thread where he threw is baby tantrum.

Don't disagree but if it is what is I'd think a guy as smart as Cliff is.... he would see this.

Damn....I am at a loss for words (that can be posted). Absolutely amazing......on both sides.

How come everyone loved the soup nazi on Seinfeld??

I love when someone is not politically correct in this overly vanilla country.

He knows his product is hot shit, hell I think the Ultra is the best thing since sliced bread. This is sort of par for the course when it comes to the creative types though. They often make an exceptional product but come up short on in the personal skills department. Makes sense why he has Jay Mitchell around, another exceptionally brilliant mind with seemingly no social skills.
