So, after a Catholic Priest completes his “union” with a same sex minor, he can bless both of them and save everyone the time and embarrassment of the confessional booth? What efficiency! It’s like shopping for molestation on Amazon!

This is why the orthodox don't have a pope. If some dumb patriarch makes a decree like that it is essentially meaningless because rather than being the vicar of Christ a patriarch is only considered first among equals. People will wait for him to be removed or die instead of being forced into a church wide heresy. Many bishops and priests would just discard any orders like that.

It's just a distortion made up by protestants who talk about knowing the bible but don't.

I think the whole context of the conversation of Jesus-You may call no one father on earth in the context of speaking of God the father.... Jesus was admonishing the scribes and pharisees. They placed more importance on their titles and positions than their function. First Corinthians explains the rest. I think. Paul uses the term father as instructor or guide. Basically your father in Christ as in raising you up and teaching you. We protestants don't use that term. I have worked with a priest once and I did refer to him as father out of respect.

The number of catholic “churches” (for lack of the proper term) has reduced drastically in recent years in the USA according to news reports. I assume this will help that continue.
The bastardization of religion will continue, there are just too many “believers” who want it both ways. What’s next? Rewriting the Bible?
