It's the Vimeo link I posted above. It is their Monkey Business performance from Saturday Night Live. One of the coolest performances ever on late night tv.

And when did Scotti Hill turn into Robert Guilette and Wayne Newton ???

My god, that was AWESOME. The energy is through the roof. Bach is an amazing singer. Guitars where aggressive and tight.

Remember those days.......

Vid in the OP is just unfortunate. That singer SUCKS! Holy hell. I’m usually good about finding DOME redeeming quality to most any performance but man that was terrible.

I saw Skid Row in 91' with Guns and Roses and they sounded amazing! One funny part was when Bas' mic kept giving him trouble and they couldn't seem to fix it. Right in the middle of some song he is walking along the backline and one of the roadies is ducking behind one of the 4x12s, waiting for his cue to get the mic stand or something. Bas walks right up to him and hits him in the face and then goes right back into the song. LOL

I saw them on the Slave tour with PanterA and that was seriously just an amazing show.

yes thats it!! thanks for posting.

i actually got baked with sebastain at an ozzfest in new jersey many years ago, a buddy of mine was working on the tour and gave me an all access working pass. in the back band area there was this blow up tent that had tubs of free miller lights, as im grabbing a few i look up and in comes sebastain. he actually smelled my weed so i packed one up quick and we smoked. two chicks came in and he left real quick lol. everyone there wanted a pic with him, he was literally a rock star among rock stars.

^agreed

Slightly off topic but speaking of Sebastian Bach, I just ran into this on another site. Supposedly John 5 was in one or more early Skid Row videos and Bach may have collaborated with the might John 5 on some stuff but I didn't dig in or play any of the videos....just leaving this here before I'm gone for holiday weekend :D

I always loved that tone on Monkey Business. Never would of guessed it was a Rivera.
Yup. M60 or 100. The Skids toured with Saigon Kick and loved Jason Bielers tone, the TBR 1SL. They grabbed up some M series heads for Monkey Business. The M series has most of the TBR series DNA, short of a few options.

That singer is horrible. Sounds like he writes songs a step beyond what he can reach. Also his lyrics suck.

Hate to see it , Love old SR

This singer does struggle but these are all old songs they are playing (prior to him being in the band). To my knowledge no new songs with ZP have been released yet, and definitely none in this video. He’s certainly no Bach but even Sebastian isn’t the same anymore. I’m actually looking forward to hearing the new studio material...recorded by Michael Wagener who did the first 2 SR records.

Yeah in fairness Bach can’t sing this stuff anymore either. They however SHOULD have gotten:

1) a singer that can do a large portion of their back catalog well
2) a singer that’s not just a total choad

Seriously, his stage banter would be enough to make me want to leave the room. Hearing him sing would seal the deal.

Agreed

I work at a venue and seen a ton of the 80’s hair bands. I would say without a doubt Warrant still sound excellent. Robert Mason can whale.

I recently read the Sebastian Bach book...pretty quick, light, interesting read.

Rivera's make kickass amps...

As for Skid Row, I actually dug their music back in the day, but Bach was a fucking douche on and off stage. Knew the band, was cool knowing the band, but overall? He was an absolute tit 99% of the time.

Just saying.
