My god, that was AWESOME. The energy is through the roof. Bach is an amazing singer. Guitars where aggressive and tight.

Remember those days.......

This is the first time I have seen this since it originally aired.....DAMN!

I always loved that tone on Monkey Business. Never would of guessed it was a Rivera.
Rivera's make kickass amps...

As for Skid Row, I actually dug their music back in the day, but Bach was a fucking douche on and off stage. Knew the band, was cool knowing the band, but overall? He was an absolute tit 99% of the time.

Just saying.

Yeah, he seems like he would be a bit much. I remember reading an article about when he went to one of the KISS reunion concerts and Scott Ian was there with him. When Paul Stanley broke the guitar and threw pieces into the crowd, Scott said that Sebastian was fighting everyone for it so much like a little kid or something.

All this Skid Row talk got me listening to Wasted Time this am...wasn't that tune written for Steven Adler? Thought I read they were all buds way back...

I seem to remember them using Boogie Mark IIIs around Monkey Business era as well.

Holy crap, I never heard that before! Wow, I wonder if that is true.

That is a great song. I remember hearing that and "Quicksand Jesus" and it was such a different level from the first album. Alot of great songs on that album.

Another band with original members with no chance of getting together again unfortunately. Like people always say though, you put these guys in the studio, on a tour bus, up on stage, etc. constantly together and something is going to crack.

I work at a venue and seen a ton of the 80’s hair bands. I would say without a doubt Warrant still sound excellent. Robert Mason can whale.

I go to a lot of hair metal shows, can confirm, Warrant still sound amazing and I don't even care for them. I will add that Firehouse and Winger still sound great as well.

Those Kemper heads should sound better than that.
Well, they probably did on-stage; the mixing was terrible.

Rivera M100 heads. They toured with Saigon kick before going in to record MB, and wanted the Jason Bieler tone...which was the Rivera TBR SL rackmount. The M100 is the same circuit with a few less options/switches.

It is about him, I’ve read it before I just can’t remember where.

Here's the interview quote from Sebastian.

I want to talk about the Skid Row song “Wasted Time.” To my knowledge, that song was written for Steven Adler.

Yeah.

How do you view that song now?

That’s a weird song. I wrote that song. Except for the very ending part [sings]: “Creations colors seem to…” The part at the end that different from the rest of the song, I didn’t write. I wrote all the rest of the song. [pauses] The fans really love that song. I don’t think it’s as good — to me, to my ear — as “In A Darkened Room.” I think that’s a better song. But a lot of the fans love “Wasted Time.” Every time I play live, people are like, [intensely] ‘You gonna do that song?’ I guess it struck a chord with a lot of people; it’s a little too dark for me. I don’t like the video. To me, it glamorizes drugs a little too much. But the fans really like it. I don’t think I was a great songwriter back then as much as I am now. I’ve improved. If you like it, great. I’m not going to tell you not to like it.

[laughs] Have you spoken to Adler about the song?

Yeah, he knows it’s about him. He’s told people [that]. I wrote it right when I was hanging out with him back in ’91. I was hanging out with him and I couldn’t believe that he did too many drugs to be in Guns ‘N Roses. [laughs]

[laughs] Dude!

That’s a damn tragedy. Surely they can find a better singer with as busy as they stay. This guy just be terrible....everything really. I love the first album tones. I think that’s Ada mp1
