What ended up being the verdict on that Nuno Randall NB King signature head???

Read some reviews, and the mags and on-line reviewers seemed to be raving...I know a few of you guys must of put this thing through the paces.

What's the word?

Obviously not many thoughts on it :)
I'm an owner of it, and that's been my experience with it. Not too many have tried this amp and there's very little out there on the 'net about it.

My verdict... I like it a lot.

Cosmetically, people either hate it or love it. I'm of the latter opinion. I just love that it has that VU meter and the big ass master volume. I saw them on stage during Extreme reunion tour and freaked out!

More importantly, thoughts on the sound...

I love this amp for Channel 1, the 'clean' channel. It's in no way shimmery Fender clean, it's more edge of break-up Plexi-ish to me. It has a great punch and spank. When I gig with it, I pretty much just use this channel and use my CAL Mk 4.23 boost to push it and a CAL Holy Fire for a little extra on solos.

Channel 2 is just missing that punch that Channel 1 has. More than enough gain for me, but it's just missing that punch/spank. That was kind of disappointing to me as I was hoping it would be a multi-channel head option to me using my single channel Marshall VM. The Solo "Channel" lets you set extra volume and gain for solos based off Channel 2.

You'll probably find the most chat on it here at the N4rum where it's pretty much all Nuno freaks

In general, even being Nuno freaks, some guys have owned it and let it go. Some are in my same boat with loving Channel 1 and wishing Channel 2 was better. Some guys couldn't be happier with it.

Thanks for the post and the link...How aggressive would describe the voicing on the gain channels?

How aggressive? If you're talking about attack, Channel 1 has it for me as far as the aggressive 'spank' I like.

Have you seen this Guitar World review? Pretty good representation of the tones available.

I did see this video...Thanks for posting. I generally really dig the tones that Paul is getting...But, He doesn't do enough straight rhythm playing / riffing fore me to properly evaluate the amp in that regard. Also, I wish he was playing the amp dry...Easier for me to "hear" the amp without them.

A friend of mine has the combo, what a Chinese piece of shit IMO
