Cranking man!!
I like the 1:15 where it sorta 'stops' and hanging that note....
That the Kemper? Sounds really good man.

Sounds killer man. Dig that guitar tone. What's the setup?

I don't know man, sounds like a bunch of 0s and 1s to me. :D I know it's way too early, but am curious as to your thoughts on the whole Kemper thing so far.

Thanks guys.

Thanks bud. Yes, it's my "day 1" Kemper clip. Fired it up, found a profile to modify and let it rip. Played the bass into the Kemper too.

Les Paul into Kemper Profiler, direct.

I'm already pretty sure that it's going to fit the bill. I need to record without micing a cab and get good tones. Although it's not exactly what I would normally use for lead tones, I spent pretty much no time going through presets to find the one I used about about 15 minutes tweaking to taste and think it sounds fantastic. Once I get to spend more time figuring it out and also collecting some profiles I see no reason why this wouldn't work out for me.

Thanks guys! I'm dying to spend more time digging into this thing.

Sounds great! Nice clip.

Which profile?

I modified and used the KM-THRASH and KM-BASS, respectively.

Sounds all digitally and stuff... I dunno man, I just can't get by the aliasing...

Of course, I keed, I keed!

Rhythm tone is crushing. Some great parts too... I think I might buy a Royer R-121 ribbon mic today for the profiling party!

LOL... of course! Quite frankly, even though these aren't what I would normally go for tone wise, I do think it's some of the clearest sounding rhythm tracks I've recorded. More time with this thing is just going to make it better.

Yeah, I'm getting a little pushback on the party, but will get it figured out. It must happen!

I posted this over on the Kemper forum but thought it would be useful here also.

"Pretty darn good for 1 day. :D Yeah, this is not your usual tone but it's pretty cool hear new tones from you.

Bob, there are a lot of great profiles out there and a lot of bad ones too. TheAmpFactory has some of the best around at a very reasonable rate...like $8 for a dozen or so profiles of an amp. It takes a little while to sus out what does and does not work for you. Plus, once you have a profile that mostly works, it's easy to tweak it to perfection. Check out the Definition parameter under amp parameter. Also, don't forget to experiment with replacing cabs within a rig...can make a HUGE difference.

By the way, the new public beta Rig Manager is pretty cool but full of bugs. I haven't come across any damaging bugs but they can be annoying. Even with the bugs Rig Manager is very helpful in managing your profiles and letting you quickly audition and compare profiles.

I'm looking forward to hearing some of the most killer Kemper clips from you. I'm also looking forward to some great profiles from you. "

Sounds great Bob, has a bit of that quack in the midrange that I like to hear from my boost/EQ'ed 2204.

Thanks guys! Glad you're liking how it sounds. I'm definitely pleased so far.

Yep, will need to wade through what's out there. I want to keep it clean and not load a zillion crummy profiles. Buying some high quality profiles sounds like the way to go for at least some of them.

I did download Rig Manager. Haven't really dived in but I do like what I see so far.

Exactly! I really like the way the mid/top responds with this thing, and that you can have a heavy sound but also retain a lot of what I would refer to as the organic sound of the strings.

Sounded awesome! I'm thinking more and more of having an Axe/Kemper every time I hear clips.

Really dug the arrangement.
