If you buy superior and some preset packs and learn how to use em, there's midi files everywhere that can be dragged and dropped and edited. You won't need the studio drummer haha. If you need any help with SD PM me any time, I could also send you a ton of midi grooves free of charge, I am more than happy to help :)

Whoah! Superior Drummer is expensive. I might have to see if there's a trial version before I can test out before I drop that kind of coin on software drums.

playing is great but i liked your deliverance tone more.

on earbuds it has a slightly weird stereo phase thing and an attack that i can only describe as compressed or maybe latent? it doesn't have that direct attack like a 57 on a cone thing

lance posted a clip using his kemper and i heard the same phenomenon on his clip as well.

now what i *could* imagine to be a truly massive sound is layering this with your mic'ed deliverance, but i understand the beauty of just the kemper's ease of setup/recording too.

Thanks for the input, Pat. Yep, I know you love that Deliverance tone. I'm going to take a swing at profiling it for sure. Just really unmotivated with micing loud amps these days.

I have been hovering around the idea of buying a Kemper or an Axefx and videos like this are certainly pushing me into buying one or both. Excellent tone!!

Thanks man.

Its my OCD... Too many options.

Sounds like you need a Deliverance 60. :)

Killer Bob!

I have been following your experience with buying and now using the Kemper.
Interested because I have one that I haven't spent the time to dial in much yet, but after you saying 15 minutes and go, I am thinking that I may simply be a bit of an idiot

Would like to use it for live to get a consistently killer tone no matter what.
Did you end up grabbing the powered rack? I must have missed that decision.

Thanks for being so open about your experience and choices. It's cool...
Rock on brother!

I'm certain you're not an idiot! Just spend more time with it. What I'd recommend is find a profile that already has a lot of the elements you're wanting at that particular moment and then tweak it to taste. Yep, I bought the PowerRack. Figured I may as well have everything in one lightweight box. I'm going to build a "head shell" for it so it can be handled the same way a regular head is and also sit on top a 2x12 or 4x12 cabinet.
