I've bought using Venmo, or PP in person. Selling, cash or PP. Venmo I believe the buyer can reverse the transaction within hours...but when I've bought, the seller has been OK with using it and of course I've not reversed anything lol.
Cash is king though.

@ LP Freak......Cash, check each bill for security threads and the watermarks, hold each bill up to some kind of light to verify. Kind of hard to do with an impatient buyer but take your time. Have a friend with you to watch your back if possible if this is a high dollar deal.

@ Watson, so they make such a thing these days? I know alot of stores are getting bill scanners.

In person I only accept cash.
I've never had any issues with anyone, well one time I had a guy come to my house who smelled.
Now I meet people elsewhere, usually at my place of business or at a Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks Parking Lot.

I just sold a car on FB marketplace, and the buyer paid cash. I have a temp marker to check bills that turns yellow if the bill is real, or dark brown if it isn't.
