[SOLD!] FS/T: Ampeg VH-140C Combo

Figured I'd try posting this for sale on the forums and see if I get any interest before I build a headshell for it and sell off the combo cab. Amp is in excellent condition and was recently gone through by one of the best techs in AZ. No issues. No footswitch.

The clean channel is very similar to a Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus but with a crushing high-gain lead sound that was a staple of many influential metal bands. Includes onboard spring reverb and a stereo chorus, both with settings for both channels. 70w per side, 140w stereo. This thing can do from Jazz to extreme metal with ease. One of the best cleans I've ever heard in an amp (if not THE best), with a high gain sound that'll melt your face off.

Open to trades for amp heads, HX Stomp / Helix LT, 6 or 7 string guitars or a de Lisle 4x4 Deluxe amp switcher.

$800.

Will ship at buyer's expense. I've recently checked and it's not nearly as bad as I thought it'd be (~$60 to CA and CO, <$100 to WA)

These are phenomenal amps and have become underrated in recent years
They really are. I feel like everyone local to me is sleeping on this one. Everyone seems to instantly write it off because it's solid state. These have bigger iron in them than basically every other amp twice it's price 🤷‍♂️

That was the first brand new gigging amp I ever bought. I paid $650 for it in 1990

It was bad ass. Loved the tone. I need another amp like I need a third nipple or I’d be on this.

Haha, you and me both. I have 3 combos and no space for them. Love this amp but it's just taking up too much space for me. Got it so it could be a live amp for me, as some buddies and I were planning to start up a band, but it never panned out, so it's just looking sad in the corner.

Bump! Might start working on the headshell this weekend, so if anyone wants this before then, let me know! Engl Fireball 25 and a Schecter C-1 Classic are at the top of my GAS list, but open to other offers. Last I checked, shipping this a state or two away from AZ was under $80. Haven't checked further, but I imagine it's not too bad.

Bump! Thought it was sold locally but the guy stopped responding. Have a few trade offers, but otherwise planning to start building the headshell this weekend if nothing pans out

Bump! Friend of mine is selling me a TON of wood this weekend, so planning on using it for the headshell. If anyone wants this before then, I'll split shipping with you!

Friend is coming over Sunday, so once it's here, the amp will be getting converted to a head. Get it while it's still available!

Been insanely busy with kid's birthday parties, baby showers, anniversaries, etc... so I haven't had time to start on the headshell, so might as well keep this listed  Will split shipping anywhere in CONUS!

Always wanted one of these.
Now's your chance! I'm open to trades, too!

The combos are the best because the speakers are wired stereo. You get to make use of it's stereo power amp without needing a stereo cab or two cabs. Also, the stock Eminence speakers are great.

Added some reamps of the Ampeg to the original post. These are fire breathers, even outside their typical Old School Death Metal sound.
