Yesterday I made 6 three minute videos of my Soldano SLO-30 at home volumes, around 80-85dB.
I did 2 videos with the gain at half and 4 videos with the gain all the way up on both channels.
I knew how good the Soldano sounded with all of my Gibsons, but I wanted to compare it to my two New Fender Strats, the American Ultra II HSS and the Fender Player II Modified HSS.
The cool thing aobut both Strats is the Humbucker is coil tapped, so I can get single coil typical Strat sounds amnd Humbucker sounds also, it gives tghe Strats 7 options compared to the usual 5.
I used one of my Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s, my thinking was that the Fender American Ultra II and Gibson Standard 50s are fairly close in price, so people wanting a higher end USA Strat or Gibson would probably think about both of these, they are a lot less costly than a Custom Shop, but are excellent guitars.
The Fender Player II Modifed HSS is basically a Mexican Version of the American Ultra II HSS, I figured this would be a guitar that would be of interest to a lot of peopke as it was to me. It is also an amazing guitar and is actually more like a typical Strat in sound and feel than the American Ultra II, Strat purists will appreciate this.
I am only going post the 4 videos at full gain, the other two are on YouTube if you are interested.
It should only be three videos, but I ran out of time on the American Ultra II video and had to make a second strictly of the overdrive channel.
I hope this helps anyone thinking of buying the Soldano SLO-30 (best amp I have ever owned) or any of the three guitars I used to demo the amp.
