I understand Sir Edward used an SLO on F.U.C.K.
Aside from the crue, who else?

I've got an HR 50 on its way... wanna hear that tone!!
Clips?!

Satriani's Extremist (Summer Song, etc) sounds very SLO ish to me.

Also, Ratt - Warren DiMartini. Giving Yourself Away, Way Cool Jr. (I think..).

Believe it or not, the amp used for the Extremist CD is Doug Aldrich's modded Marshall, he loaned it out to Satch for the recording of that album

Some users that come to mind for live and recorded.

George Lynch
Scorpions (Mathias Jabs)
Warren Haynes
Eric Clapton

I know there are a lot more but cannot think of them....

Nah, both of those were Marshall...he did use a SLO on the 1999 self titled album; and on lst year's Infestation though (which was a SLO / VH4 mix).

otherwise this is a pretty comprehensive list, some of the names are surprising:

Not surprising if you have ever owned a SLO. It is an amazing amp. Extremely versatile. And Mike is the best.

..I think Detonater and some of Reach actually were the SLO .I remember Reading the GP interview .His fav amp was the white plexi he used on dancing undercover .But when recording reach it startied blowing fuses tubes and I think had some transformer damage .He used the SLO because it was more Modern and reliable

Alright man...be that as it may, SLO's weren't even around in 1988 I don't think...and Detonator is definitely the famed Super Tremolo; I have all the interviews also, don't ever recall reading about a SLO until the 1999 album. Not saying I don't believe you. On the contrary, I'd just like to read that article you're talking about!

At any rate, when I met him at NAMM last year, I asked him about all his amps for every album from Invasion to Detonator. He basically said "marshalls" for every album I mentioned. I got the impression he's really sick of answering the same question, or it just isn't that important to him -- I tend tothink its the latter; he was super nice and seemed really genuine.

Hey, I'm not the be-all end-all when it comes to Warren's amps; I'll gladly admit if I'm wrong!

marshalls till the slo came out now its
Amps and Cabinets

- Soldano SLO-100 100-watt amp heads

- Marshall JCM2000
- Diezel VH4 (used mainly)
- Marshall 1960AX checkered cabinets (four of them) - two cabs with Celestion vintage 30s and two with 25-watt Celestion greebacks

Gary Moore comes to mind, and I think either Michael or Chris from Queensryche used a SLO somewhere with their Marshalls.
