Soldering question

Quite surprised, lot of Weller users here. This one is with me over 30 years already. Reliable, great.

(y)I have never had to repace one of their tips away ever either!....brass mesh tip cleaner probably helps with that, and it doesn't temp shock the tip as bad as a wet sponge. I love soldering, I love geeking out about it haha. Hope mine lasts too.
As long as you are not removing Bogner speaker wire, you will be fine with what was suggested. All good choices. You will need a certified plasma cutter to remove the piano wire on those cabs!
LOL! Man I've often wondered, with the wire going to the coils...it's just paper, heating those up excessively always made me nervous that it would damage the speaker in some way...but I'm overly cautious.
 
Use some Flux on it. Use a little flux on everything when you solder it helps alot. You may need to clean the residue with some Q-tips and alcohol afterwards.
