Technically, the moment Zorran put the songs put it to "tape" it was copyright protected, because there is a digital time stamp. I had to study Copyright laws for two years in college.

Along time ago on HCAF someone posted clips of a fairly well known jazz/fusion type player and claimed it was him playing. He got called on it and there was some good flame threads that came out of it. I wish I could remember more details about it but it was quite awhile ago.
